anyone else have trouble with this drive? the one I bought installed to be only 80gig, and the lable on the HD itself says 80GB * PATA and the labels on the box says DiamondMax 21 but the HD says DiamondMax 20. anyone else has this problem or am I not installing it right?

Thanks OP. Just bought a couple 320GB Maxtor's but 0.10/GB is too good to pass up. If this is one of the new Maxtor boxes, it should have a three year warranty.

I bought this same drive @ Staples last BF (for the same price!) and haven't had any issues. As a matter of fact it's my system drive, so it sees a lot of activity.
It's zippy, quiet and so far, reliable. Looking forward to another one.

What? How could it be anything but an 80gig and they sent you the wrong HD?

Staples says it's ATA100.
Link to Maxtor for more info claims it's ATA133.
