Gosh, there must be millions of people calling them. I'm still staying on the line with staples (for 10 minutes already, browsing the web at the same time). The message keep telling me "thanks you for holding, we are experiencing extremely high number of calling at this time, but...."
man!

Strange thing happened today.. i went to staples.com and tried to login but didn't accept password. Since my account is kinda old, i figured some of the info got lost or something after their site facelift. So i tried to make a new account. No go, "this username already exists". So my account must still be there. Then i decided.. ok, phone order. When i called up, i told the csr about my problem and she put me on hold for 5-10 minutes. Then i was transferred to another csr who was also no help. I requested a phone order, but he said, now get this "I CAN'T DO THAT." WTF?! When i asked y, he told me there was a remark on my accnt that stated "do not accept phone orders". He said i could only make an online order. So i went ahead and made a new account. Tho, everytime i try to add an item to the shopping cart, it just brings me back to the login screen. What the heck is goin' on? Has anyone else had this happen?

You better delete your cookies from staples (some may be hidden). You must have gotten a few to many deals from them and they're trying to cut you off.

The online ordering will not except hardly any multiple coupons, but phone in orders are pretty lenient when it comes to coupons.

Your probably also going to need another credit card and shipping address.

Unfortunately, they're a privatized business and CAN refuse you service is they so please.

I'm thinking cookies wouldn't be the problem since i formatted my pc and installed win2k last night, but thanks. Anyhow, i called up Staples again, and i got a different, much nicer csr(thank god) and she put through my order w/o any hassles whatsoever. I'm happy now. =)

Damn,just placed and order, and the CSR said that the system wouldn't take the $25 off (after I had used the paper code, still with $80 in items). Had to skip getting the paper. He even pointed out that the paper code said it couldn't be used in combination.
Have they updated the system, or did I just get Rep who actually knows his stuff?

Multiple coupons is luck of the draw. Tried to order once and got a CS rep who said that I could only use one at a time. I told her that I had ordered this way in the past without any problems but she insisted that I couldn't do it. I told her not to place the order. Called back a few hours later and got a very friendly CS rep that was happy to take my $25 off $50 AND paper coupon.

search for "51645A" at the top of the staples page and the inkjet cartridge should come up. Also add the microsoft publisher $19.99 (comes with a $20 rebate) and the cheapest item you can find (some scotch tape or something) and you should be just over $50. After you add the coupon your total will be $25 + about $2 tax - the $20 mail in rebate you end up paying about $7.

It is Saturday evening 7:00pm and both the Staples web site and phone orders are accepting the $25 off $50 and the free paper coupons. Web site would not let me combine coupons as has happened with everyone else, so went the phone route and all seems OK.

One small curiosity, the free inkjet paper page indicates you cannot combine with any other dollar off coupons, but under the coupon rule page it says: "Product specific" coupons may be combined with other coupons. And it seems to me that this is a product specific coupon!

Thanks everyone I now bought that optical ps/2 mouse that buy.com will probably never ship for the same price at staples. Also got a Montegp Bay Sound card to bring the price over 50 bucks. You guys are the best.

As usual check you creditcard charges. Staples overcharged me by not taking of the coupon. Just send them an email to fix that.

I ordered the Canon scanner with three of my colleages on Feb. 21. Two of them (Colleage A and B) placed the order before lunch. I placed the order after 2:00pm. The third colleage C placed the order later in the afternoon. In the second day, colleage A received email saying A didn't get the order as the item was out of stock. I was happy that I received an email confirmation that I was able to get one but the scanner won't be shipped until Feb 29. Colleage B also was able to get one scanner. Colleage C received the confirmation that his scanner would ship on Feb 25!!!!<br>

In May, I found that my CC was charged for another $21.25 ($20 + $1.25 tax) on May 3 for the scanner order without my authorization. What a horible company. <br>
staples.com is a sucker. The Canon scanner deal has $40 + $60 rebates. Colleage B just received his $60 rebate from staples.com! Colleage C and I still didn't receive it. Remember today is June 26. Should you trust them for rebates? NO. I got all rebates from Microsoft, CompUSA, OfficeMax, etc. Staples.com is the worst one in rebate at least. <br>
I was unsatisfied with scanner so that I tried to return the product. The CSR agreed that I can return it. However, she told me I had two choice to return it. One is that I drive 40 miles to a nearest staples' B&amp;M store and return the product. She told me that the it depends on the manager whether he is going to accept the product. The second choice is that UPS will come and pick it up. I don't want to drive 40 miles for possible nothing so that I chose the second choice. She didn't want to give me an RMA #. She insisted that UPS would come and pick up my scanner. <br>
I waited for UPS for two weeks. Nobody come and leave a notice at least. This means that they don't want you to return the product. I was happy with staples.com before even when three colleage agreed that staples.com was suck. I should listen to them. I will never do any business with this sucker: staples.com. If you want to buy something, buy from www.buy.com or www.onvia.com for technology products:|:|:|:|:|Please don't mention this name:|:|:|:|:|

Friday: Ordered phone, Encarta &amp; paper for which they prompted me. Coupon codes didn't work so I called the CSR. She told me to order then call in the codes. So I did. This morning they balked on using both codes and said the paper only applies to $100 purchases now. So I told them to keep their paper and I would take the phone and the Encarta. Guess what? the paper should up already today when I got home. They told me to leave it outside the house and UPS would pick it up in the next 5 days. They must of really got burnt on the paper promo to go thru all of this.
