I had to laugh at a poor manager when I went to Staples B&M today. There was a family of 8 to 10 foreign people that were trying to take advantage of multiple rebates for a single item and the manager was trying to explain why the rebates could only be used for one address. These people have like 3 carts full of stuff too! Anyways, the Staples I went to were out of the TDK CDRs, so I had to get the Philips ones. Pretty good deal still.

The TDK price is not a misprint. I called staples to tell them that I could not access the advertised price on the web, and I accidently quoted them the wrong price and (as of now), they gave me the misquoted price of $9.98 each (I bought 3 for a total of $29.94)

I ordered (online) the Cendyne($99.98) and an NEC MS75 17" monitor ($119.99). Used a $40 off $200 coupon... $189.97+ 6% NJ tax/shipped less $80.00 in rebates ($50 for the CDRW and $30 for the NEC). NEC rebate does not list Staples on the rebate form with the other retailers, so I imagine it's a Staples rebate. $120.00 for both!-not too shabby!

P.S. I know about the $40.00 rebate on the Compaq 17" monitor, but I didn't see it online and I would prefer the NEC over Compaq anyway.

I got the MS95 last week. GREAT 19" monitor BTW. Great deal and the Rebate is $30 off a MS 75 or MS 95. BUT, I too saw the online rebate did not show Staples as a source. HOWEVER, when I went to the B&M and bought it, it printed out a rebate form and it DOES show Staples on it. I know if you have a Staples B&M near you, they can print out the form for you.

Just an idea.

I got the Cendyne burner (which is, in fact the Lite-on LTR32123S, it's marked on the drive) at Staples B&M near me and used a printed out version of the jpg coupon. The manager balked at first and I told him I printed it out from an email. He stated that it says on the email "bring in the entire email, do not cut out the coupn" I told him I didn't notice that and had cut out the coupon because it had dotted lines around it and had deleted the original email. He said OK, use the coupon.
