Nice. I will have to check tomorrow. Although I am getting very queasy of maxtor.
I had a 120 die last year after 1 month. I sent it in and got another. I just pulled it out of the box and what happens. Well I will be sending it back too. So then I pull a 160 out I had never been used. Started acting funny after an hour. Ran diagnostics on it too and guess what you guessed it failed. The thing that sucks is I have had it sitting on the floor for a year. I think it only has a year warranty. :|
I need a drive for my tivo so I will be there tomorrow. Hopefully they are out of the 60 and will give me the 80.
You either got some bad luck, or it might be something other then the drives. Make sure you have enough cooling and a decent power supply. Too much under or over volting a drive will shorten its life.Originally posted by: SimMike2

Make sure your computer memory is OK. Bad memory can sometimes cause problems that look like hard drive problems.

Agreed in my experience Maxtor has been the most reliable HDs...WD the least.
