I scanned the images with my new Compaq A3000 4in1, which I got for 80 dollars. DPI is only 600x1200 but still a good buy. I bought it mostly for the printer.

The flatbed is only 8x11 so I had to divide the images. The sizes of the images are roughly 100k each (so bare with me, those on dialup). I did my best to get the best quality out of the scans so I hope you guys enjoy it?

Also, I had a few Anander?s stop by the IRC (efnet) channel #pricematch, so I hope to see more of you guys stop by

the scans look really nice, opposed to the usual I-am-trying-to-figure-out-what-model-this-crap-is fine print. I admit; I'm on dialup (getting dsl/cable soon!!) so it takes some time, but it is worth it. Nice balance of size vs readability. Thanks. Much appreciated ^^

That Linksys cable modem looks like a good deal, combined with a coupon of course.

Does anyone know if that would work with RoadRunner. Staples doesn't give many specs for it on their site. SKU 470056. I'm thinking maybe it would be worth saving myself $10/month rental and getting this. Anyone have this one?

Wonder about the Ext. Linksys Cable Modem... does it have LAN as well as USB?

Yes, I believe the new Linksys cable modem has both Ethernet and USB. This is a very cool deal with the 20 off 100 coupon, if you can reduce your monthly bill. You'll earn the money back in no time.

I personally cannot take advantage of this although my ISP offers a $10 monthly reduction if you have your own modem. The reason is that I now have a promotional package with both digital cable and high-speed internet. To utilize the $10 reduction, I'm no longer qualified for the promotional package. It ends up costing exactly the same.

I feel somewhat I'm screwed by my cable company. :| Yeah, we offer a discount, but you don't want to use it.

stupid people sux. i went to staples today (1 hour drive) to get teh CF cards and reader advertised, had printout and everything ready, but saleperson tells me that the stores cannot take those prices because they are too low (the free one for the reader made her throw a fit). Called the manager and the 3 of them took over 20 mins to arrive.

Looked at ads and then told me I could only order online, called online and said in store only. WTF!

Filed complaint and am going back tomorrow and putting the store people on the phone with the people at the the 1800 number.

Hopefully the really "smart" managers and salepeople will realize their mistake and let me finally get it.

All this for a CF card and read :-(
