Staples: APC 350VA BAttery Backup - $14.60

Saw this on another site. Checked it out at my local Staples (downtown Manhattan) and walked out with two of these for 29.20 (plus tax). Can't find any mention of it here - hopefully this isn't a repost. UPC #731304018841. Item has '11 minutes runtime' in blue circle on upper right of box. There are other similar items, but they won't ring up at $14.60. A battery backup for just a little more than a surge protector - and no rebate!

My Staples had a stack of them in the clearance section when I was there last night. Sign said $39.99--I wasn't interested so I didn't do a price check. $14.60 IS interesting. Maybe another visit tonight.

I quick call to a store near me said $49.99 - 2 in stock. That's for item #474045 - I am assuming that's the same one.

What happened to the GOOD deals on these. I'd gotten 3 free after rebates some time ago when they were rebating these things all the time. I need another one, and until now, hadn't heard about any good deals on them.

I still haven't received my $50 rebate for APC 350VA from staples.

This is what it looks like but the correct sku is 446847. These come with the software to shutdown your computer.

I've been following the thread on chubby wallet about these and kept forgetting to look for them. I finally remembered after reading this thread. I made a quick call to 800-Staples to check stock for stores in my area and scored 3 of them. Don't forget to use your $10 off $40 coupons.

Yeah....got one...there was one left on the shelf out where I am in at in SJC. Make sure you look for the right Item #446847. They do have another that looks identical and is $49.99. In fact they were right next to each other on the shelf, so I had to go and check the UPC #.

B&M (Delaware) told me UPC #731304018841 and item #474045 are different, but both on clearance. Althought, out of stock for me.

I checked my local staples and they where out of stock. I had to drive to the Staples in Paramus (RT. 17), NJ to get one.
It came up $14.60.

They had 4 left in stock.

Make sure the box says 11 min runtime. The ones that are coming up full price will say 16 mins.

Bagged 3 of these today (finally) after some running around and time on the phone. Seems that these aren't showing up in store inventories, but are in "the back". I got to know 2 of the inventory/pricing guys at 2 stores pretty well.

It seems like I usually miss out on these types of deals, but I got lucky and found one at a local Staples! (behind another model on the shelf - someone may be disappointed) $14.60 as stated in other posts. The cashier even commented that it was a really good price... hehe. I could have used 2 and they only had 1, but I'm happy to get one at all.

One thing I was surprised by: when I came to the register I asked the cashier if he could check their system to see if it showed any more in stock. He said he couldn't check inventory, and would have to ask someone to look in the back. They don't track the inventory with their computer system?!? Maybe he just didn't know how to do it...

Also saw some of the Curtis Power 7 surge protectors for $9.something - also a good deal I think. They're the upright models that have outlets on both sides.
