Staples deal B&M, updated, CPN, PM, MIR's pay only $10.00 (hp scanner, memory, ms software & firewire card)

ok, as in the other threads, thanks to the posters, I was thinking about trying this:

1. pm the hp scanner at wally world for $49.63 (save $20.00)
send in the $40.00 rebate, makes it $9.63 +tax.

2. get the flight sim 2k and money 2k1 for $20.00 ea with $20.00 rebate, makes them free after the rebate,and get the free copy of battleship.

3. for those of us who got the maxtor firewire hd, add the firewire card for $49.98 and then use the $50.00 maxtor rebate on the card, making that free.

4. add the pny 128mb 133 stick of ram for 29.94, $10.00 rebate on this making it 19.94.

this adds up to $169.55 plus tax (here in pa that is $10.20, 6% here in pa) $179.75 before the rebates, use the $30 if 150 coupon that is in the other threads and that makes it $149.55 )

now subtract the rebates

$40 for the scanner
$50 for the firewire card
$40 for the 2 microsoft software items
$10 for the pny memory
total rebates $140.00

pay only $10.00 (there abouts) for it all!

thanks for the other threads that gave me this idea, both here and other sites!!

now my head hurts.....maybe you guys can do better...maybe even make some money on this ))

I might be wrong but I think the Maxtor Firewire card needs to be purchased at the same time as the hard drive for the rebate to be valid.

Thanks really good. nice planning, but thats alot of hassle to go through. But for those of u who is gonna do it goodluck on all those rebates!

Yeah, good planning, but I really doubt that every rebate will come through...well, maybe they will, you never know (and that's the problem). But good for those ppl who are willing to go thru this.

Real great, I go to wallyworld.com seeing if it's the mentioned site and find some gay porn. No link to wally world and no mention of their Shipping charges or at least saying they have no shipping makes this a cold post IMHO and belongs in the other posts. Yes you might be able to find a rep to not add shipping but it's rare and it's not a legit deal.

This in regards to the PNY SIMM 32 Meg memory sticks (bought at BestBuy: NYSE: BBY), I too, sent in all the required information to recieve a rebate check, but never recieved any money for it. I knew that sometimes mail ends up in the trash, so I sent the required reciepts certfied mail, it was signed for, and I STILL didn't recieve anything back. Thanks PNY, you are a bad company! I was living in Phoenix, AZ at the time. All this time, I thought it was just me out there that missed out, but thanks to Bitchaboutit I realize that these companies were jerking innocent people around. PNY is headquartered in New York.

In september of last year 1999 I bought two 64 mb SDRAM sticks. The brand name is PNY and they advertised a $30 per stick rebate. I sent in all of the required info and as today (5/1/2000) I have received no rebate money. The rebate for advised it would take 6 - 8 weeks to get my rebate. I asked the District Attorney in the county where I purchased the memory and was told that they weren't going to prosecute for only $60. I have attempted to call the phone number listed on the rebate form and never get anything but a busy signal. I made copies of the rebate form, the receipt and the UPC barcode that I sent in and can send copies to any interested party.What a rip off from a fly-by-night shyster company.

i got the firewire card rebate already printed out and it says it expires on sept 30th.

also here walmart is right across the street from staples so i am hoping to try this at the b&amp;m staples.

I did this back in the day with the lexmark z11, and ended up with lexmark paying me $8.00 to take the printer off their hands. lol

as far as the pny rebate goes, hope for the best but with out it, $20.00 is not that bad either.....))
