Please, before you bash someone's hot deal, research your claims (ie. read the rebate details). The word "kit" in the Maxtor rebate forms simply refers to retail packaged Maxtor harddrives starting with the following "kit" numbers:
ST01, ST04, ST06, V06, K01 and K04
