#1, it's a repost.

#2 the first $30 off is a five digit unstackable coupon, disallowing the application of the second.

#3 there is no $30 off $100 coupon out there, that I know of.

So this is the new way Staples is trying to prevent the use of "unauthorized" coupons?

Two weeks ago I tried using the $30 off coupon on a cdr-w drive that also had a Instant Rebate Coupon. The transaction would only accept one code or the other, but not both. So while other companies would advertise instant rebate, Stapes actually made it a coupon, so as to prevent the additional use of another coupon.

My 240 GB runs fine in XP (2x120JBs). Win98 can be partition above 64GB, although MS tech support says it's not designed to handle above 64GB partitions. FDisk most certainly hates it

Right, this deal is not very hot. If you buy 3 of them you can get the $30 off the first one and then use a $50 off $200 for a total of about $113 per drive. Or if you get 2 of them you can use a $20 off $100 stackable which gets you the drives at about $115 each. So buying 1 for $109 just using the $30 instant rebate coupon is actually the best deal. You can't stack any other coupons on top of this one.

They TELL you to write down and enter a specific code to get their sale price ($139.99 - $30 = $109.99) and when you actually do it, their system errors out on the code. What retards! Used 30 off 150 w/some stuff I need.
80+Tax w/o MIR is pretty decent deal.
Tax Cut standard and Money standard is 55 w/55 MIR.
If you need the softwares or don't mind the MIR, get these and the drive,
Use 30 off 150, then call and ask for 30 IR.
It should work, if not, cancel the order.
Their system is screwed right now. Can't use the 5 digit code for the drive.

Another bad thing I don't like about the new maxtor, ibm, and seagate drives is the crappy 1 year warranty. How sad is that ? I for one don't like the idea of my harddrive dieing on me every 18 months or so. I am either going to get a western digital drive from newegg that still have the 3 year warranties or a samsung drive with 3 year warranty.

Yeah, but this particular drive is coming w/3 year warranty, and a drive I picked up from BB(Maxtor also) has the same period of warranty.
Actually I heard it, but haven't seen one coming w/1 year in retail boxes yet.

The Staples coupon listed on the webpage with the Hard Drive is not working for me. I tried submitting the code both alone, and with another coupon code. I guess I'll try calling tomorrow. This will be pretty HOT if I can get both coupons to work.
