the rebate was still there, but the printer was OOS. So I just kept pressing refresh and then it stopped telling me it was OOS and just refreshing the printer page, so I looked over to the right at my cart. OMG, there were ELEVEN in my cart! ROFL!!! I used this same refresh technique to get the Toshiba lappy a couple weeks ago.

I tried to check order status online and it could not match order number to zip code. Called CS and they said that was happening a lot online. She checked my order and confirmed I should get Tuesday or Wednesday (because of snowstorm). Ordered the Canon S750 printer BTW.

Got the 40G maxtor I ordered on Sunday. Opened the box......, inside is a slim Diamond plus 8, one of the fastest drives available . Pretty hot for those need speed, not capacity.

Some test results about this drive copied from a website:

Sandra 2002: 38079
HD Tach2.61: Max Read, 62.5MB/S; Min Read, 31.4MB/S; Average, 51.3MB/S
WinBench99: Start, 60.5MB/S; End, 54.8MB/S; Seeking, 12ms
PCMark 2002 Pro: 1122

Only weakness about this drive is, only 40G, less than main stream drives. Anyhow, great deal for $46 AR for this drive and the memorex scanner.

about those optimum cdr's...since it seems like they've had rebates forever....it says limit one per household/address; but on staples there are now two rebate forms, w/ 2 different time periods. are these now 2 separate offers and can i get some more now and still get both rebates?

OK, so now the big question on the webcam rebate... The top of the rebate form says "IC100C" which is what I ordered. The "Required Products" says "IC50C" which is what the pic is when you punch up the appropriate SKU. It looks like their system is crossed up, since they ship the 100C under the SKU for the 50C. Anybody know what to do here? Not much available at that other big hot deal site; I'll be on the phone to Staples shortly.

Anyone who bought a Memorex Scanner should check online about their rebate status. Mine came back invalid for a wrong UPC. It seems that staples screwed up and thinks the UPCs are wrong. Other people have reported the same problem over at the wallet.

A quick phone call will clear things up. They changed mine to valid and it showed up within a minute on the website as being valid.

I just got confirmation from Staples that my rebate was received and validated and that a check will be mailed within 30 days. This is pretty quick considering that I am still waiting for 120 dollars in rebates from CrapUSA.
