Staples did for me today.
Seems like it is hit or miss and totally arbitrary. They have no specific written statement that they can disseminate.

They matched a $78.00 Internet price for a HP842C printer for me today. Didn't even add on shipping cost which others I have asked do. Pickup up at a B&M.

Even added a rebate coupon that I printed from the Web and got another $20.00 off.

Don't be afraid to ask and check out several Staples stores. Bring the prices from Pricegrabber.com with you.

looks like this may be locked, but ditto. a manager may or may not authorize a PM to an online store. you need a lot of patience, and luck. mostly luck.
