Staples Teachers Rewards (10% back)

Not many teachers on here, but for those of you who do exist, Staples offers a teacher's rewards programs - $10 back for every $100 you spend at Staples. (up to $70 a year)

Despite being on ATHD for several years, and occasionally browsing the other hot deals forums, I hadn't signed up until today (fellow teacher emailed me.)

Definitely not a smoking hot deal, but an extra 10% back could be worth it. I'll have to read more about how it works, but I'm guessing that if an item is $100 with a $50 rebate, I'll pay 100, get 50 back AR, and another 10 back after rewards.

the teacher's program has been around for quite some time. noticed it when i was looking @ the business rewards brochure in store. they had a stack of teacher's rewards next to it.

My mom has this. Its great, we just bought a printer, as well as some other stuff and at the end of the year we got back $90. The only thing that sucks is that the rewards dont roll over from year to year.

I myself have the business rewards card. And I recently got bumped up to Platinum status because so far for the year I've spent over $5000 with them. It's a nice card, and I get free shipping for all online order, even if it's not over $50.

Unless Staples changed this recently, Gold business rewards customers still get free shipping for orders under $50, but the percentage limits on the rewards checks are lower.

Office Depot and OfficeMax have similar programs.. I believe OM is 15% tho (been a while since I looked)..

We used to use it until I realized I got 50% off most of the stuff on their site through my company.

Officemax's maxperks program does NOT even come close to Staples Teacher's Rewards program. It excludes ALL computer related items from earning the rewards. Staples includes ALL purchases in the rewards. As the OP mentioned, the only downside is that you can only earn up to $70 per year in rewards. That is why you need the Business Rewards also. Enjoy.

FYI, the Teacher's Rewards program is exactly like the Business Rewards program, so yes it is always applicable. Nothing to stack at all. It is a program, not a coupon.

I believe they mentioned that you may have to provide proof - paycheck from school or copy of teaching certification.
