Staples recently had that nice Compaq A3000 for 99.99 which was a great deal. Seems like they didn?t have enough to go around so they are offering replacements?

For those that missed the sale you?re in luck. Staples will give either the HP PSC 500 or the Sharp AJ5030 depending on the availability.

Also, It seems that the HP PSC 500 is going out the door and becoming inactive soon. So if you?re lucky enough to get a display model, ask for the 10% of display models on top of the 100 instant saving and 20of100 coupon.

Where does one find this documentation? The link does not work for me, but the SKUs are findable. The $50 rebate is listed but no reference to an offer to sell either for $100 on the website and the B&M is closed for the night.

I bought the A3000 online. There was a special coupon code given to knock the price down to 99.99 from 199.99. Unfortunately, it would not let me combine any other coupons. A mail in rebate on one of the substitute items might work though.

So far I love the A3000, can't beat it for under $100.00.

Where I am, you can't get there from here!!! YES, the B&Ms were allowed to substitute the HP or Sharp, but apparently only if available in stock.. I was on a waiting list for A3000 but never heard of this substitution. When I read this thread, I did manage to get hold of the B&M manager who confirmed this but they no longer had any of the three possible candidates.(they had 3 A3000s that went on Sat, of the other two they also had a total of 3 one of which was an HP that someone had returned from an earlier purchase). I called Staples.com and asked them to match the B&M offer. They "are a separate organization" and do not participate in this substitution which leaves one SOL for which the CS girl was "sorry". So was I. Have to be quicker the next time around I guess. There are some Lexmarks that are similarly priced that allegedly one lucky soul in another thread got substituted but no go here.

Thanks wargod, the deal is real. I got the "last" (in box) Sharp and someone else picked the display one at the store in Irving, TX.

I paid a grand total of $80 dollars plus tax on my printer. I used a 20of100

You can see the quality of the scanner and some photoshop editing on my post about "Staples Ads...".

I also tested out the printer. I bought some photo paper. I was amazed on the quality of the picture. I'm now in the market to find some good deals on photo paper.

I found a Sharp AJ-5030 but they made me pay $149.98 out of my pocket. They said the $50 rebate will make it $99.98. Can someone scan the receipt and send it to me if you buy the Sharp for $99.98? Thanks.

I was going after the Sharp deal until I read the reviews and saw the prices of the ink cartridges ($55BW, $66C). Sucks ink like water, poor graphic printing, slower than molasses in January.

Inks are cheaper at Officemax. $37 for Black and $40 for Color.
