Staples XP Rebate problem

I sent the rebate form via certified mail on 11/13/01 but have not received notification of receipt yet. Does anybody know when the rebate expires? If somehow the mail was lost, Is there anything I can do? I have copies of everything I sent to Staples. 200 dollars is a lot if I dont get the rebate. Sorry, this is an off topic post.

I got an e-mail from Staples back on Nov. 12 saying my XP rebate is accepted and being processed. Did you give them your e-mail address on the rebate form? If you did I think you have a problem.

This should be posted in the rebate tracking thread. But since it's here . . . I mailed a couple rebates to Staples about the same time and they haven't shown up on the site yet either. I'm not worrried yet.

I also sent my rebate forms in at about that same time. I checked yesterday on the rebate tracking. Nothing yet. Sometimes it does take a while for Staples to update their rebate tracking. Kind of like their "real time inventory"

I have my info at home, but I sent it in about 1 week after the deal.
According to the staples site, my check has been cut, waiting for it in the mail... woot!

Just sent it regular mail, no confirmation anything....

They have to be getting swamped..with all these reabtes in the last 4 weeks or so. I have 10 out to Staples right now....it is only showing 2. I am not worried.

I got my rebate checks for the modem, cdrs, and 48cd carrying case before thanksgiving -- super fast. I'm still waiting for the web cam rebate. I didn't buy XP during the promotion, but didi take advantage of the other incentives to get you in the door.

I did the return receipt also. I should have received it by now but I haven't. I wanted to make sure ever since I got burned with the 70 dollar office depot rebate which never showed up. I got the 100 dollars from HP for the cdrw dvd combo drive and that was with certified return receipt. I wrote my email address on the rebate form. I will be calling the post office tomorrow to track this mail. Hope I can get it sorted out. Has anybody else tried the certified return receipt route also with Staples. My concern is that whoever empties the PO box may have ignored the notice of return receipt signature required, that or somehow it got lost. Thank you very much for your interest in this post even though it is off topic.

cisip, did you check the rebate center on Staples site? I never received an email form Staples, but the rebate center site showed my info.

Not to piss everyone off or anything but I got my $200 rebate within 3 weeks... it was the fastest Ive ever received any rebate!

I have NEVER lost a Staples Rebate. Staples in town has a clerk that handles any rebate problems. If you have copies of the paperwork they will assist you in getting the rebates. I would keep track of the online rebate center for a period of time to see if they are posted there.
