It isn't that bad. But if you haven't watched the previous seasons, then the season premiere would be a little bit confusing.

Berman explains, "The movie that we're having very early discussions about would have nothing to do with any of the characters that have ever existed on any of the Star Trek series. It would be an entirely new setting and an entirely new set of characters, and it would take place prior to any of the series, including Enterprise."

"I spoke to Jonathan about a half an hour ago," Berman said. "He's in Japan, and he's coming here [because] his film [Thunderbirds] is premiering Saturday here in Los Angeles

damn, that guy must get hellllaaaa pussy in japan. :Q

I think it was released at the same time as one of the LOTR movies. That's tough competition. Nemesis is my favorite of all the ST movies. And the Enterprise series is just awful.

I didn't like Nemesis much at all. First Contact was good

IV, VI and II were also good.

Don't forget Generations; it was IMO because it was a meld of TOS & TNG

well looks like the temporal cold war crap is over according to the last episode. I'm just hopping for a nice 2-3 year war with the romulens now thats what everyone wanted to see when this show was first anounced.

There wont be the Romulan War in Enterprise. Manny Coto (the new producer and head writer who is a hard-core fan of the original series) will instead focus on other issues that were never answered. Such as why Vulcans in the 2150s are so different than in later times, and the Eugenics war, among other issues. There may be a few episodes (if the series lasts the whole 7 seasons) dealing with Romulan incursions but it's not going to be anything like how the Dominion war became the central issue as in DS9. Coto's task will simply be trying to undue all the damage that was done in the first three years of the season and dig into issues that really affect the pre-Federation situation.

Hollywood has run outta ideas for Trek. They're using the idea that was supposed to be ST6 or 7.

Get ready for it...here it comes:

STARFLEET ACADEMY...WITH KIRK, MCCOY, SCOTTY AND SPOCK AS CADETS.

It was shot down originally because Rodenberry (GRHS) had a fit when his Characters were going to be turned into teenaged heart-throbs. Who will play a young Kirk? Ben Aflak?

As big a fan as I am, I think that they need to move FORWARD, not backwards. Stop fvcking with the timeline.

Just have them go to the 99th century and set phasers to multidimensional while warping away at warp 9000.

I really liked TNG and Voyager.

I didn't really get in to Enterprise but didn't watch many episodes. I think I only manage to catch 1 or 2?

TNG is the best. didnt really get into DS9 until the later seasons. voyager was alright. only caught a couple episodes of Enterprise and didnt think to waste more time with it. who knows, maybe i'll bit torrent the series and see if it has gotten any better.

The good old days of Star Trek were ushered out when that pile of politically correct crap known as TNG came on the scene. There were some decent episodes, but overall I couldn't stand it. I liked it better when it first came out simply because it was new, but the more I analyzed it the more I realized how pathetic it was. The fact that they were ripping off material from the original series by the second episode of season one did not bode well for the series, and if they had that many fscking holodeck accidents they would ban the thing from use.

Counselor Troi should have been killed off rather than Lt. Yar.

Troi: "Captain, I sense hostility!"
Picard: "What was your first clue dipshit, the fact that they're shooting at us!?"

Solving all their damn problems with technobabble and the deflector dish.

Picard: "Mr. La Forge, reconfigure the deflector dish to emit tuna noodle casserole. Let's see the Borg adapt to THAT!"

Out of all the newer shows, I would have to say DS9 developed into the strongest one.

I find the show entertaining, and the effects are good for a simple TV series, but yeah, there's more time travel in one season of Enterprise than there was in all the other series combined. If they're going to do time travel, set the show in the 29th century and follow the timeship Relativity or Enterprise or whatever.
Speaking of effects, it'd be great if they could remake some of the DS9 shows using modern computer effects, like the sequences in Sacrifice of Angels (Jem'Hadar and Cardassian vs Starfleet), or in the last season, the final battles between the full Dominion forces and the Federation alliance. Some shots had some flaws, and they also resorted to using stock footage a few times. They say there were thousands of ships in those sectors, but only a hundred or so were actually rendered in the shots. Now they would actually be able to deliver what they say.

Ah, but DS9 always just had the Prophets to take care of anything major. That said, I did like DS9 and TNG the best; Voyager was good too, though it did have its share of weak episodes.

Don't give up on Enterprise. They're bringing in Brent Spiner (Data) to help save the show. I don't think he's playing Data though. He looked human in the preview I saw.

Too funny, and too true...also thought your comments on Troi were accurate...I liked DS9 but stopped watching after that, TNG was o-k but still sucky because it was too P.C. not enough good action.

He is human. He's playing the ancestor of the doctor that created him. Dr. Arik Soong

For the record, I have enjoyed most of Enterprise.

Enterprise, Voyager, and TOS are all at the top of my list. DS9 and TNG always come second.

The deflector was only part of the solution, a large portion of any Trek solution has to do with neutrinos and EPS conduits....
