Probably not many of you play this game since it is for mobile gaming. It is set in the Star Trek USS Kelvin Timeline and is described as a "free-roaming multiplayer Star Trek experience [combining] role-playing game style progression and real-time battles with enemy ships".
So, yeah I know, I'm kind of geeky, and I got stuck being Admiral of our alliance of 64 players. I'm trying to come up with a set of rules/guidelines for my alliance to follow in order to keep our star bases from constantly being attacked, and to also keep the game fun. If you have anything to add, please post them for consideration.
Rules - Don'ts:
1) No political or religious comments - It doesn't matter what your political opinion is, or what your religious beliefs are, it does NOT belong in this game or on our Alliance Chat. People have had enough of politics and religion in the news media and on other social platforms, so don't start the discussions here. This is supposed to be a fun and inviting game for everyone, regardless of your beliefs. Keep it off Alliance Chat, Galaxy Chat, and Private Chat. Other alliances don't have this policy, and if that is what you want, please go join another team.
You can see the nastiness of the political and religious statements on Galaxy Chat. Ignore it and do not join in. You can say pretty much anything you want, but if you bring political or religious content to Alliance or Private Chat, this is what will occur:
a) Your first offense will be a Private Chat, which will also point you to the alliance rules.
b) Your second offense will be a STERN warning via Private Chat, and a demotion in rank. You will be pointed to the rules again, with the statement of this is your second and final warning.
c) Upon your third offense, regardless of your rank, power level, or how it may affect our team, you will be sent a notice via Private Chat, then kicked from the alliance.
d) After you've been kicked from the team, no matter how many times you ask to rejoin the alliance, it will not happen. These rules may seem harsh, but we will not allow this type of behavior to effect the alliance, and you will have to live with these consequences.
2) Do not be nasty on Private Message, Galactic Chat, or Alliance Chat:
a) There are a few good players in the alliance in which I have no way of verifying their age. From some things that were posted, they seem to be in their mid teens.
b) For the most part, you do not know how powerful the player or alliance is of the person you are in contact with.
They may not only seek revenge on you but the whole alliance.
3) Espionage by an Alliance member for another alliance or for a friend will not be tolerated, and the punishment will be severe. See the post on espionage further below.
4) Do not raid a station of anyone who's alliances highest ranked player is greater than level 19.
Players typically at level 19 or above have spent a lot of $ on building up the power of their ships, which makes it almost impossible to withstand a counter attack.
5) Do not allow any player that is not within our alliance to poach the station we are raiding unless they ask for permission.
6) Do not poach another alliance's raid. If you want to join the raid, ask permission first. Doing so without permission will either get your ship/base destroyed, or may cause an attack on our alliance bases.
7) During a raid, do not send only miners to loot and no warships to help. Warships are needed to help crack the targeted base and defend your teammates.
Rules - Do's:
1) Always press the purple alliance help button when it appears on your screen. It costs you nothing to send help, and it reduces the time needed for alliance members ship repairs, station building, and research.
2) Contribute resources to the alliance. We are not going to put a hard rule on how much you contribute, but every contribution helps. It strengthens the alliance but it also expands the number of players allowed in the alliance. Give what you can afford to give.
3) Before looting a players ship or base, ensure the player's alliance is not one we have a non-aggression pact with (check the alliance announcement page for full list).
4) If the person's ship/base you raided contacts you. Be respectful at all times regardless of what they say.
Rules for Raiding:
1) When looking for a target to raid, be sure to check the following:
a) Ensure the alliance is not an ally by checking the announcement page for the full list.
b) The alliance considered for attack has a total power that is less than 8 million, or has no players that exceed 19 in Level.
2) Once a target is found and it seems ripe enough to warrant a group attack, post it on alliance chat and PM the Admiral.
a) Group raids will need to be authorized by the Admiral.
b) The finder of the raid must determine the Star System for staging ships prior to the raid.
c) It is the Admiral's duty is to discuss the attack with the other non-aggression pact alliances on discord to ensure there are no other treaties in effect, and to ensure there is no misunderstanding on why ships are staged in a particular star system.
3) The finder of the raid calls the style they wish to attack. Free-For-All or Line up. They also call who and when the auto shield is popped.
4) New members - It is the responsibility of the senior players on the raid to explain and coordinate the efforts of the noobie raider until they have a grasp of the rules of conduct.
Repeated violations of these rules puts the alliance at risk and will get you dropped from the team.
