Especially in light of subsequent events.

I like that the episodes move along, but I hope they'll do more episodes with the AI bros in the future, as it was a fun concept. That cave of skulls tho

Name of show?
Or link?

Also, why did she come back for the season finale if she jumped ship?

To answer your first question: Because the movie she is in called "The Last Summer" was filming at the same time as The Orville and she couldn't do both.

I can't answer the second question.

I hope they don't beat the Moclan drum as often in the future. I think that they've pounded on it pretty hard in the first 2 seasons.

So, The Orville is coming back, next year, but it won't be on Fox. It'll be on Hulu!

Damn it, why do networks keep putting their best Sci-Fi shows behind paywalls? This pisses me off.

It looks like I'll have to wait for the 3rd season to end, and then binge watch it all during their free trial period. It worked for Star Trek Discovery and CBS AllAccess, it will work for this as well

Its a shame that the best shows are going subscription services. At least the Expanse is on Amazon Prime.

And I'm thinking about canceling Amazon Prime pretty soon and just buying it for a month when the next season comes out.

Free trial periods work once, but streaming services keep coming out with more stuff. Plus I'm afraid at some point they'll remember the Disney Vault (you know, the one with Walt Disney's preserved head in it*) and start putting shows on streaming into it, so if you weren't subscribed and watching when a show came out you won't get to see it at all for decades.

* Or was that just a SNL skit?

That's a shame... It was the best show on TV right now. Oh well, I guess I will wait year or two until its available for free somewhere.

I think that we're going to get to a point where people with limited incomes will either go back to pirating content, or switch to a "streaming service of the month" model.

Instead of buying one subscription service and sticking with it, they'll move their subscription service money between HBO Go, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Amazon Prime depending on who has the best original content that month.

Or, maybe the streaming services will wise up and start creating discounted streaming content packages with multiple providers. The cable companies are already catching onto this, and have started offering bundled Amazon Prime and Netflix subscriptions for new subscribers. We'll see, I guess.

Funny... you feel the same way about The Orville ("It's a lame Star Trek spoof!") that I feel about Discovery

I think that CBS is going to suck me back in with the Picard show, though.

That's confusing, because Amazon likes to incorporate all the other streaming services as "channels". But they're not included in the price - you pay the normal rate for each one separately. So I'm not sure if it will be included with Prime or not.

Edit: I clicked "More purchase options" and it had a sign-up link for CBS All Access.

Not quite sure if they went to Hulu because Fox said "go away" or not, but welcome another show to Hulu/Amazon/ Netflix. Even though this show isn't one of my favorites, I can't stand cable with its commercials, loads of crap channels, and extra expense for equipment just to watch it, so I will be more likely to catch the full season with this switch.
