I couldn't find a $9.99 VHS. I got two DVD WS from CC for $9.49 w/ the TRU ad (she said I could have all I wanted for that price, and this was at 7pm, and she knew the TRU across the street was totally sold out). But it seems CC doesn't carry VHS. Yet I just noticed their ad on my coffee table this evening and it says they have VHS. I need a copy for my dad for Xmas, and I was hoping that was all I'd have to pay.

Was too tired to drive around town again tonight, plus, with all the TRU out of stock, most places would probably laugh at me. I might try a local WalMart a little out of my way home in Cleveland Heights tomorrow.

i didnt think of that until u mentioned it, we do have vhs in our ad, but, reguardless, your not going to find a vhs copy at a CC

The ad says VHS, and the merchandisers at the stores say "Own it on DVD or VHS" but delltrinitron is right, CC stopped carrying VHS in August.

Yeah I got a stinking copy of the fullscreen in the widescreen box, went to BB and the dingle berrys gave me a hard time. So I proceeded to make them give me 110% PM that I did not originally get cause previous guy who rang me up told me I only get the 9.99 pricematch and thats it. So the clerk looked at me and said its only a dollar. I said I know but its my dollar and a dollar less I give to BB. She gave me a dirty look and I said do I have to talk to your manager, she quickly got back to work. During all this in my head I was like "WHOS MY BIIIIITCH?"

It pisses me off that people say "It's only a dollar" or "It's only five bucks". What you say to them is "Well then, why don't you give me a dollar or five bucks?" Chances are they won't. Then you reply "Why not? It's only a dollar?" It might not be much, but it is your money right?

Anyways, I think it's great that this DVD sale is really testing out the price matching policies of all these competitors. I think TRU did a great job making BB and CC run around like headless chickens figuring out if they should make the customer happy or lose their business. In the end, the consumer wins! I'm thinking about going back to get some more copies for some stocking stuffers or X-mas gifts. Hmm..maybe I'll just go and buy it at Fry's since I read somewhere that they're selling it for $9.99

pricematching is always ymmv... and depends on your luck of the day. Like i said earlier, i got mine from CC on the day of the sale, no problem, less than 5 minutes.

However, my co-workers, upon hearing the hot deal, they went to the same CC yesterday to try to pricematch... the both came back empty handed... saying the CC reps told them that there will be no PM because Toys'r US is out of stock....
I call up the Local toys r us... they STILL do have them in stock. hmmmmmmm

that made one of my co-worker foaming at the mouth and call up CC to cuss out at the rep and manager.

Pricematching: any company will NOT do the 110% or 105% or whatever on their own price. they will only mark it down to the price it is now.

BB: Like most stores, BB makes sure the product is in stock at the other store. We do not, NOT, tell them we are BB employes when we call. Like vtqanh said, BB has an un-godly amount of new dvds. its sickning. so, when TRU or CUSA runs out (they just make that low price to get you in the store) we cant sell it at that price. BB will make their price as low as the lowest super stocker so, there are less price matches. they dont want to have their reps pricematching constantly. it would be cheaper to just make the dvd cheaper, than to pay the reps to lower the price $.50. they also like to compete. if you have notice lower prices at BB for some odd reason, they are just adjusting the price to equal the rebated price at another store near by.

Price: EVERY store that has this under $17 is selling it under cost most likely. They lower the price to, A: get you in the store, and B: make its customers happy.

$.50: do you really need to spend your life in line at a desk waiting to price match the DVD to $.50 cheaper?? its not worth it. youl get mad when the other store is OOS (out of stock), the rep will get mad at you when you get mad at them, your stress will rais(over some stupid $.50), yould have a heart attack/stroke, and die/have brain damage. all for 2 quorters. is it worth it? no.

Hate to tell you - bought the Yamah CRW-F1E @ CC. Their price dropped within 30 days. Guess who got a 110% PM on the difference? BB doesn't do it because they're cheap. It's CC's policy. Hence the reason I refuse to shop @ BB anymore.

I went to Best Buy with the printout from the this site....they said they won't match because Toys R Us is out of stock. Left my DVD at the register and walked out. Toys R Us is about a block away from BB so I went and picked up a real copy of the mailer. Last night I went to Blockbuster Video and they price matched with no problem what so ever. Just needed the original add. The manager was even complaining because she knew Toys R Us was out of stock. I just said "Yeah, whattya gonna do?" and walked out with my $10 Widescreen DVD.

Then I went home and got lulled to sleep by the second disc's boring ass content....

hehe...I liked the disc...If you are not into 3d or film making it's boring..but same could be said for all bonus discs...

Walmart in Union City (CA) PM'd no problem with my ad. CC (next door to TRU) said they wouldn't do it b/c TRU didn't have it in stock.... BB was also out of stock... but seems like a lot of were doing it in Walmart and they had a ton left (both WS and FS).

I stopped at the Orange, Ca Walmart and AOTC was $14.77, with pming going no place (OTOH I didn't have a flyer etc with me).

Tustin Toy rUs only had the VHS, but ad says it goes through the 20th, so I grabbed a flyer and will keep it in my car until I get a PM etc.

I like 3d. But the disc was just boring. What I saw anyway. Most of what they showed was that guy walking around checking everyones work, and Lucas complaining about crap. I would have liked more screen shots, or talking about the programs they were using. I was surprised to see so many macs in there. The audio documentary was okay, but it was only in stereo. You would think they would put the AUDIO documentary in Dolby Digital.

Anyway, it was worth the ten bucks. Good Deal!
