Awesome I am gonna pre order it ASAP

I am extremely surprised that the DVD is coming out this soon. The only rumors I have ever heard was that George wasn't going to Release the dvds of the new episodes until the Episode 3 was released.

I really don't know if I should get this right when it comes out or wait until George gets his heard out of his butt and releases all (soon to be 6) episodes. Hopefully that will be before I die.

Thanks for the heads up.

The movie was honestly... gay.

Jar-Jar Butnut
Medaclorigayans
Giving Obi wan permission to train Aniken
Aniken

The only way this movie could have been gayer is if Lucas has made it into a musical.

I could go on, but what's the point.

Hoo boy. Here we go...

<insert opinion about EP1 here>

<insert opinion about other SW films here>

<insert opinion about Lucas here>

<insert opinion about Jar Jar here>

<insert opinion about lack of DTS here>

I'd much rather pay $20.99 though.

Or even $22.95

After the first 5 minutes of not understanding what the hell Jar Jar was saying I started to find him kinda funny.

But thats my opinion.

I can not wait for next year and Episode 2

I'd much rather see a DVD release of The Phantom Edit, The Phantom Menace professionally editted with 20 minutes of footage removed. I haven't seen it yet, but it supposedly removes Jar Jar and certain questionable lines with no affect to the storyline.

Read all about it here.

I would buy it if there is an option to cut all Jarjar scenes. (even if it makes the movie not make sense)

First off. you have to remember that the STAR WARS series is PG or even closer to G rated. They consist of a very simple plot and story line. Also, Eposide 4 was over 20 years ago and we watched it when most of us were kids (young and nieve). 20 years latter most of us are adults with brains that can think outside a fantasy world. Of course the simple plot and story line wont fool us this time. AND dont forget, by now most of knows that Darth Vader is Lukes dad and we know that he was once good and got turned to the dark side. Most of us even now how that happens. It's like reading a book before you see a movie. If read a book and get a mental picture of how things happen, then you see the movie and the director cant read your mind and film it exactly like you picture it, then you get upset. in most case you say the book is much better than the movie. in this case you say the movie sucks. I revisited Return of the Jedi recently and I cant believe that 3 feet monkey men throwing rocks from a sling shot, took out an emperal strong hold. But when I was 10, I wanted to be a Jedi Knight. and today, my 10 year old nephew wants to be a Jedi Knight.

Hardly a hot deal. I'm sure with promotions, you should be able to snag this set for under $25.
I rather liked EP1. I'm a Star Wars fan, but not a junkie. I appreciated the movie simply for it's setup of the next 2 episodes.

Jar Jar Binks was fine. Darth Maul was great. Qui Gon Jin sucked, but he is dead, so yeay!

It says something about the quality of the movie (compared to it's predecessors) that individuals have felt it necessary to re-edit this movie. From what I've heard, there are two main revisions (no, I don't know where to get them). They include edits such as A) cutting Jar-Jar scenes and B) re-voicing Jar-Jar. I guess Lucas was so happy with his new special effects (Jar-Jar) that he didn't bother with details like content. It makes me think of PC games with excellent graphics that just don't play worth a damn.
