Star Wars: Episode 3 Title

Well, just like with the last Star Wars movie, there is a lot of prospective names and ideas floating around about what the name of the next Star Wars movie will be and what the theme, storyline, and movie art will be like. Most interesting is the list of names that have been chosen so far. Although these may never become the actual names for the movie, there is nothing that says that they won't either.

So far the 4 most popular prospective names are:
1. The rise of the Empire
2. A Republic Divided
3. Vengence of the Sith
4. The Fall of the Jedi

TheForce.net has a very large gallary of Episode 3 images, posters, and other items related to the new movie on their site. Although the movie script isn't even finished and priciple photography isn't scheduled to start till late 2003 at the earliest, there is still tons of buzz over the next and last Star Wars movie.

Given this information, what do you believe the name of the next Star Wars movie will be? My vote is for #1. Yours however, doesnt have to be for something in the list above. It can be a name entierly of your own making. So share your ideas of what the name of the next Star Wars movie will be!

Well, so far the prequel trilogy naming scheme has kind of mirrored the original:

A New Hope ------> The Phantom Menace

The Empire Strikes Back ------------> Attack of the Clones

Return of the Jedi ------------> Rise of the Empire (my guess)

Knowing George Lucas, he'll probably pick the worst possible title. Think about it... "Attack of the Clones"? How misleading can you get?

Well, he did that because he was angry because everyone kept saying "He's gonna call it 'Clone Wars' and not anything else!"

He felt preasured by the public. So he fought back by calling it some dorky name instead of going with public preasure since "nobody could tell him what to do since it was his movie." Actually, he should have pandered to the public and called it Clone Wars. He was going to call it that in the first place anyways. Well, so much for doing things "His way." Isn't it the movie going public that should decide what's in a movie since they're the ones who will be deciding if they want to pay to watch it?

Yeah it has to follow suit some how..either empire or darkside will be in the title.

One good news is Doug Chang is out as concept artist...the two guys who did the final battle scene will lead the concept department this time.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they brought Ralph McQuarrie back? They still used some of his unused concept art from the original series..Like the flying creature on Kamino was supposed to be at cloud city...and the design for coruscant was done a long time ago.



Now let's see how many smartass names atot can come up with.

The original title for episode 6 was 'Revenge of the Jedi' (got a great movie poster of it!) I predict Ep3 is thus 'Revenge of the Sith'. 'Vengeance of the Sith' is pretty much the same thing.
