I like how they portrayed Thrawn, cold, calculating, thoughtful, reminds me of myself, lol. They are dropping hints that Kallus is getting fed up with the Empire, his comment about "too many civilian casualties" and all that.

Pretty sure Ezra killed more people in this episode than the first two seasons combined. He also did so without a shred of regret and remorse. Perhaps understandable given the war, but he seems almost kind of cold in his killing efficiency compared to the innocent bright eyed kid in the original episode. He came off as willing to kill a defenseless imperial officer in cold blood if he didn't get his way.

Yep, seems a lot like Anakin transforming, we'll see if Jarrus can right his path, they made it seem like hes been gone for 2 years.

I mean never mind the pilot episode, even as late as the very last episode (season 2 finale) Ezra seemed unwilling to kill even when it came to a Sith inquisitor. Now he dispatches people without a moments hesitation. Been there done that. I don't think he was just being petulant. He's definitely changed.

Absolutely. This aspect of his character was front and center and we're to believe that this was all due to the influence of the holochron and the absence of Kanan.

And notice the introduction of what in Zen would be called the middle path - Bendu. This is the path that I think Ezra is going to follow and that we're going to learn more about from the alien we saw Kanan talking to. Ezra will learn to use the dark side w/o being controlled by it and it will be glorious.

I really like that they're making a middle ground cannon as George only seemed to see his characters as either all light or dark.

A lot of people are thinking that Kanan will die to save Ezra's life but if he's to die I hope it is more to save his soul, bringing him back from the edge of the abyss. Imagine if Ezra falls so deeply down the dark side that he turns on Kanan in the climax of season 3, labeling him as too weak to do what must be done to win against the Empire only for Kanan to never stop caring for him and never stop trying to save him even as Ezra is doing his damnest to kill him in a duel. It would be a different approach compared to episode 3 where OB1 was condemning and chastising of Anakin, with intent to kill instead of viewing him as a manipulated pawn and victim of Palpatine's poisonous influence most in need of understanding and salvation.

Someone please explain to me how the heck a small group of Tie Interceptors takes down so many A-Wings like that? The A-Wing is a better fighter and it has shields.

(And on that note, shields are surprisingly useless in Rebels for anything that isn't the Ghost...)

It seems like those were better pilots as that was the entire point of the episode even if they only came out of it with 2 kids so it was a rather silly episode especially as they murdered the wedge origin storyline.

Also the a-wings we are seeing in the show are different then what we know of from when we see them ramming super star destroyers.

Probably a earlier version with weaker everything.

Interceptor has a more potent attack and better pilots. Oh and they just look way more badass....so they have that going for them.

Plot armor. Sebiene got shot in the head and it didn't so much as leave a mark on her helmet. Even Boba Fett's helment has a massive ding on it.

The voices of the Mandalorians on this week's episode have been bugging me. After watching it a second time, I finally figured it out: it's Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus.

Man the plot armor screamed in this episode. The Mandies would be ordered to shoot someone or something, only to stand there and think about it a bit.

Last year's finale was something special, as well was Yoda telling him to go to Malachor.

But, it also needs to be said that this show has way too much filler. I also do not like the crew of the ship very much at all. And until the last few episodes, every time they pull out their light sabers you know it's gonna be like the two of them going to Crossfit and the battle of course will be inconclusive with no loss of limb or life.

I've been intrigued with shift in direction. It's def not the same kids show that it started as. The last EP where

did amaze me as it's still on a kids network. I'm not expecting a full on mature adult storyline, but they've come a very long way.

Kind of disappointed with this season. Even this last one with Maul seemed kind of meh, half an hour being spent they need to go to tatooine except not quite that specific or something. The pace of the plot is moving at the speed of a snail.
