star wars new episodes are crappy.
star wars old ones are fun and fluffy with a happy amount of pop-philosophy and harrison ford.
star trek old ones are campy and goofy.
movies are too few and far between a good moment.
new star trek is lame and, while supposedly more "intellectually developed" than star wars is fine provided you only like to get half-way to an interesting thought before deus ex machina-ing your way out and ending with some lamoid "captains log"
bottom line:
they both are now just vehicles to make money.
but star wars makes better video games (and more, so it might not be fair)
f-it. Kotor makes up for all the garbage.

So obviously even if SW had a snowballs chance in hell of destroying an ST vessel, the sheer killing power of a Federation vessel is far superior than any ship the Empire or Rebel Alliance possess.

Sorry if I don't your word on it but link?

I read up on this site quite awhile ago, and do not have a link for it because I cannot find it, I've googled everything I can think of and the only conclusion I can come to is that the site may no longer be up or the argument is no longer there, I read the above stated, I'd say 2-3 years ago, so I'd be suprised to find the same argument anywhere, but I will continue my search and try to find it nevertheless.

edit

not the site but makes good points on both sides, but I still believe ST all the way.

I still hold the view that SW has sufficient advantages and disadvantage that are not so great to prevent SW from prevailing. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Totally, don't get me wrong I love Star Wars, its just that if I had to choose a side thats technically more advanced and just a reality I'd rather live in, I'd go Star Trek. Same goes for this reality, I couldn't say "forget this" to this reality fast enough if I had a chance at going into the realm of Star Trek. May sound geeky, but its just too great a chance to pass up.

Star Wars is better visually more interesting
Star Wars has Darth Vader

Star Trek has better stories, plots, on the whole actors.

I know there's like 125 posts between this one and the end, but...

Farscape should be in there between Ep 4-6 and poop in a shoe.

Definately Trek. Voyager and the first 3 seasons of enterprise may have sucked, but then there's TNG and DS9, which introduced the Borg and the Dominion. How can you not go wrong with them?

Simple, just look at the poll.

Star Wars 4,5,6 > anything else

i like trek, but thats it. i just like it, even with all those bad series and mediocer movies.

But STAR WARS, it gets my blood going! I get excited every time I see a new trailer for a new movie thats coming out!
mind you, eps 1 was weak, and eps 2 could have been a lot better, but 4,5,6 just owns all others out there. and eps 3 looks very promising.

heres hoping eps 3 will be a great way to finish the saga.

but SW will always own ST, and it seems most ppl agree according to the poll in this thread
