Yeah for me I went into the moving knowing *NOTHING* about the actors or who they were. So I had *ZERO* basis on what the dude under the mask looked like. Then when they revealed his face I was was sitting back going "no way that dumbo eared grease ball is the son of Han Fucking Solo".
I just wasn't prepared for it not knowing who Adam Driver was or what he looked like.
He is executive producer for episode 8 (according to wiki) and then has no role at all as of yet for episode 9. He might have had some influence on episode 8, but it will be very limited I'm sure. I just don't get how you could have a franchise like that directed by 3 different people, for 3 different films.
They have the technology to go faster than light so obviously they have the Paul Mitchell tech to keep that body. The greatest mystery of the Star Wars universe is how Kylo Ren's hair keeps that glorious full body after being held captive all day in a steamy helmet. Explain that one, and "but... but... the Force" isn't an acceptable answer.
Right. I said it was the first theory.
The HOT theory right now is that she's a Kenobi.

If he really was well into corruption, he should have some freaky skin discoloration and maybe some face scars from his first hilarious attempts to generate force lightning. As far as I know, those sith lords didn't wear masks because they thought it made them look badass--it's because it was important to hide their identities when starting on teh path and eventually because their faces were so utterly fucked from darkside corruption.
Me either. I was kind of expecting a scar, or some REASON to have a mask but from what I see they just had him wear a mask to look and sound cool.
Popular theory is she is a grand daughter of Padme.
sooooooo........ Lukes daughter?
Luke has a sister. Han left her for some time, it's possible (though unlikely for several reasons) she had a baby he didn't know about. So most likely Luke's daughter in that case, but there are other possibilities.
There's also the Kenobi theory.
So while han was away, Leia did the nasty with Lando which explains Rey trying to put her hair in corn rows and her affinity for black males. got it.
Notice also the difference in acting between this movie and Phantom Menace. Episode I acting was so wooden and dry it was like people reading from TelePrompTers.
What the heck was up with that?
huh? thought Luke made his own light saber?http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Anakin_Skywalker's_second_lightsaber
It's Anakin's lightsaber - thought that was clear, actually?

I hope you're joking. If Rey and Finn are essentially recasting Luke and Leia, only with the genders reversed but similar roles . . . that's going to be too much. It would fit with their choice to emulate so much of IV. We should probably take that as an indication that is exactly what they're going to do.no, that's Finn
I'm betting Han survived that blast.
