Did James Ohlen or anyone else ever specify whether future legacy benefits would be account-wide or only extend as far as your legacy last name (that is, per server)?

Because if, as I suspect, it's the latter, I now think if there's a pair of AT guilds (Republic/Empire) they should be on the same server.

I think it is by server, so yes, we should locate both guilds on the same server.

Since we are talking two guilds...

What are the given names? Should we try to share a unifying word between them, sodality perhaps?

Perhaps a little. People are generally not going to know what sodality means, much less an abbreviation.

I am kinda digging Sodality for the republic guild and Dark Sodality for the empire guild.

I think that since the Sodality theme has been endoresed, we should attempt to keep it uniform on the Sith side as well. It will be easy to spot as well, if we run across each other in-game.

It would be more like naming a guild "the fellowship", and I know of a lot of guilds with that name. So no, I don't think it's silly.

Fair enough. I'd like to have one word in both guild names to tie them together. Even if it's not Sodality.

If sodality is a bit too obscure, it has several synonyms that would make a good baseline for guild names.

fellowship, association, brotherhood, fraternity, league, order, society, union, unity

Order of the Sith

Someone more creative than I may be able to come up with something.

Haha ya I'm more of a lurker , I don't post very often.

Odds are that "fellowship of..." and "order of..." will be taken by the pre-registered guilds on most servers. I'd never heard the word sodality before this thread, so our odds would be pretty good of getting it.

Once the list gets a little more finalized, I say we pick a somewhat less "popular" sounding server. As in nothing with the word "darth" in the name.

Yeah, that's why I picked Nogato Road on the test weekends. Sounded like it would be less popular and it was, though it still had a decent population from what I could tell.
