They are both trying to straddle the light / dark sides to become more powerful. By using both sides together, they have more potential power at their disposal. Or so the conjecture goes. It's hard for Kylo because he is too 'good' to use the dark side, and hard for Ren because she is too 'good' to use the dark side fully.

i just hope they don't join forces. i think that would be kinda lame :\

I think either they more or less switch sides or they work together to bring down the never ending light/dark struggle as grey jedi. The problem with that is Disney has still kept the seductive dark side that will always cause it to come back so there is no way to completely end the fight.

Hopefully they get smart and use some of the books - there were some incredible series including Admirable Thrawn and the invasion by species 8472 from Fluidic Space.

Based on the trailer, it looks like there is some new Sith lord? Does that look right? If so, anyone that can theorize who that is? It's kinda hard to just toss a new character into that role I would think.
