Yeah that is what I was saying...apparently I'm not the only one that cannot read.

Let me spell it out. Your real name is only given to those that you add to your real ID list. I.E. you have to give them your email address, and they have to give you theirs. You have to intentionally give it to them. RealID works across all blizzard games. Completely separate from this is the friends list in SC2. Here you can add a persons user name so you can see when each other are playing only SC2. You never ever have to give the big bad man on the other side of the intertubes your real name.

Dont think so. When I was Terran and a buddy was Protoss, I left my medivacs near a bunch of his and my units. His health didnt seem to restore whenever I checked on them.
Of course, they might have been too far away or maybe I forgot to set auto heal.

oh, and did anybody have connection issues last night? I was playing nonstop all night w/ no problem then all of a sudden when playing w/ my one friend i kept lagging out of every game. sure enough because of it we got placed in the silver league

I'm pretty sure that would overpower any team with protoss in it.

I read somewhere that SCV's can repair Protoss mechanical units, so I would think that the medivacs could heal Protoss bio. i will have to try to find a link though.

also says that queens can heal bio allies (terran/toss) so again this leads me to think medivacs might be able to heal toss/zerg allies

yeah, we had some crazy lag for a couple of games, on one game, one of my friend dropped, the next 2-3 game were super laggy. but then it magically disappeared.

did anyone get the voice thingy to work?

no. i can't get the voice to work at all. I've been using skype / vent to talk to friends just fine though.

My god damn gaming machine is dead. Dunno why.
Tried playing on my office computer and while widescreen is nice, a Radeon 5450 is not powerful enough to do anything except minimum settings. And the game looks like Warcraft 3 without advanced shaders.

Anyone know the email address of SC2 billing? I'm having trouble with the digital download payment but when I mail billing@blizzard.com about it I get an automated reply that says "World of Warcraft Billing Account Services" so I'm not sure it's the right address and I don't want to start another SC2 thread :|

Supposedly some hardcore bastards did it in 10 hours. (Those are the guys that MP for 12 hours a day, every day.)
Normal people take longer.

not that hard to beat it that fast if thats what you're trying to do

A lot of the missions have various ways you can beat them such as going through the motions or just flat out destroying the enemy base. Obviously the latter can be a lot trickier and take more time but it can also be far more satisfying (particularly when the various characters chastise you for being crazy and proclaiming there is no way you could take on a force that vast / multiple forces, etc)

but yeah, if you play the game to where you're determined to pump out units and just steam roll the AI then you'll definitely beat it fast. But if you're like me and you like to lay waste to everything while losing as few units as possible, then it will take a lonnnngg time

Yeah, its really good.

I realize I could make maps and add them back, but I just think it would have been cooler if they were all there by default.
As someone else said, maybe more units will be integrated back into MP as they release the other 2 segments.

yeah that's what i meant. i knew it was something like that.


anyway, i beat the SP campaign today. the last map was a bitch, but good! the ending is pretty solid, but obviously leaves room for more terran campaign in the future. i'd say it's something like LOTR: Two Towers...still excellent in its own right, but not as good as the first or last, simply because it is neither the beginning nor the end.

really enjoyed the SP overall though :thumbsup: now i have a master's thesis to finish....
