so how does the guest pass trial work?? i know its 7 hours or 14 days... is it full access to the game and battle.net privileges?? download the digital version of the game from battle.net and put in the pass code of the guest pass trial??

im planning to buy a guest pass from ebay, i wanna test it out on my system before i go about actually buying the game and/or having to upgrade..

Got mine at Gamestop at lunch today. Traded in MLB10 and GoW plus my GS card and came in at just 25 buckos.

I ended up getting $20 back from Amazon, because apparently, the CE dropped to 79.99 at some point after I pre-ordered it. No complaints from me!

Patch 1.0.1 is out.
Supposedly optimizes campaign saves. I hope this means they fixed the issue where I would save, leave, come back, and all my stuff was missing. That got annoying quick.

Also fixes 7.1 sound on some specific systems in some specific circumstances.

Soooo, for a lot of folks this patch is useless.

What would you say are the best upgrades early on? I'm thinking Stimpack and Stabilizer Medpacks. The bunker upgrades are nifty too, but not enough credits for all the goodies .

Lol played my placement matches and got put into gold division

I'm really bad though, so I'll probably go down to bronze later (I normally have 2k minerals left over each game cause I can't macro).

I think there's alot of noobs on cause my friends are in diamond league etc.

If you expand to a 2nd base quickly and harvest, you wont be able to upgrade fast enough. I recommend two engineering plants.

Dunno if this been mentioned but there are updated ati drivers that allow for anti aliasing just for SC2. Read it at Crunchgear but haven't looked into it yet.

Ugh, I think this game has a massive memory leak... I've witnessed my memory going from 1.5GB to almost 2GB used... that's pretty intensive and even more memory used than WoW. Right now it's hovering around 1.5GB and that's after completing a mission.

Even had it crash on me earlier... really need to find out what the hell is up with all these RAM errors. Memory tests report nothing is wrong and I even ensured my RAM was at the proper voltage (was at 1.55 instead of 1.5).

I was running fine at about 1.58GB but then I had an in-game cutscene with Raynor and another character (I won't say who ) and now it won't drop back down even though I'm essentially at the same part.

EDIT:

Heh, I just exited out of the campaign and the game actually started using a little bit more RAM .
