Blizzard has started a countdown - StarCraft 2!

I think the image is a Firebat or hydralisk, many people on the War Room forums say its a hydralisk. The image becomes more clear each hour. Checkout the progression here:

Ok, MAJOR update here.

Every hour starting at around 19:33:18, watch the seconds column. They will flash blue, with special numbers. If you take take these numbers, and convert them to characters, they spell out different quotes(backwards)...

"Im Here"
"Somebody Call for an Exterminator"
"Call the shot"
"Im all over it"

Which are all ghost quotes. Can I get a w00t?

I was hoping Blizzard would do something completely new, instead of another sequel. Its been Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, and now (possibly) Starcraft 2. They should come up with a whole new world Oh, and that counter is on all sorts of other Blizzard domains

I couldn't be less thrilled. But then again, I hate RTS, and I know people say SC is the best RTS so far. Still, it'd be nice to see something else from Blizzard than sequels to existing franchises.

I would assume that is will use the same engine that warcraft 3 is running, and will probably keep the same "feel". But you know what that say about assuming..;-)

I really hope they dont actually want them to use the warcraft3 engine for starcraft, cause the first one was soooo sweet with the top down view and not the weird polgoinalk graphics of warcraft. i mean starcraft was so much faster that what made it great, i really hope they dont use that damn supply system the game will go sooooo slow, i hope they tweak it and make it look better than war3, i mean war3 looked great but I thought that it could have looked cooler.

The rumor is that it may actually be an FPS of some kind based on starcraft.....Starcraft: Renegade? God lets hope not. The other rumor is that it may be a damn console game, but lets just hope its SC2.

Its a console game ONI style i would say, looks pretty sweet i still want satarcraft2 though... jsut not using the war3 engine
