I really hope these are from an alpha version.

I really wish they had talked to massgate and gotten the world in conflict engine.
Starcraft 2 with that engine would have been amazing.

I hope this will not turn out to be a case where developers are banking on a proven title to sell a sequel.

To people complaining about it not having uber graphics: Uh, welcome to Blizzard games? Blizzard's games have always been designed to run on bottom of the barrel machines at the lowest settings. Can't make it look amazing on high end machines and still run on very low end machines.

its not a coincidence that the two most successful developers on the pc (valve and blizzard) put out games that scale extremely well to lower-end hardware.

Exactly.

Dev's of terrible games can blame it on piracy all they want. All Blizzard games have are CD keys (and are thus fairly easy to pirate) and they are among the best selling PC games ever.

Don't really like saying it, but I don't like the direction they are going with the Zerg. They seem too...clean. In Starcraft 1, they seemed a lot more organic and savage. Now they just look like clay figures.

I always thought Tides of Blood was a very challenging, fun experience... DOTA just seems like "OMG LET'S HAVE UBER HEROEZ"

but yeah, the graphics are too smooth. Works well for the Protoss, but makes the Terrans look cartoony and the Zerg too uniform/inorganic.

Looks a lot better in action though (check out the protoss gameplay video)
