starting a sentence with lol

I dunno, it doesn't really bother me, unless it happens repeatedly. In that case it would be the equivalent of some extremely annoying person who laughs for NOTHING ever two seconds. If they're casually talking about something, and you KNOW what they're talking about so you're following, saying "lol" to indicate humor or laughter isn't bad. Excessive usage, however, is.
