you're right, it can't be done (at least not online). I tried with just a simple $30 off $150 that's valid now and it won't take it.

I think $250 AR is still a good deal (although the reviews on this computer is baaaaad)

It can be done if you order instore with a printable $30 off $150.

Alternatively, you might be able to PM this at Circuit City:

Circuit City carries this same PC for $449.99. If you can get them to PM Staples $299.96 price, you can use the 10% free giftcard coupon (received via snail mail) and it would come out like this:
$449.99 - $165.03 (110%pm) - $44.99 GC(Use giftcard coupon on original purchase, come back to PM)- $50 MIR= $189.97. Decent opportunity if Staples doesn't have it available in your area (but carries it locally if they call to check stock). Just print up the internet page showing the $75 instant discount.
