3/8/01 10:20pm est They are back right now, 1 of 2 batches over qty 200!! Try going to the main page first and signing up if you haven't already, then "order" the sonicare sample (should be free/free shipping if it applies to your area). GOOD LUCK!!
10:35pm - all gone already - that was fast.

http://www.startsampling.com/product.iphtml?item=4076

Only about qty 200 left, they will go quickly. This is around a $20 brush.

On my screen it says "click here" to order it, if you're not already signed up on their site then go to the main site here and do so. If they run out tonight I think they bring more out each day, down to 122 when I just checked.

Possibly they are limiting the samples to only certain states, I've seen that with some other products.

I hope that everyone sees that this is not the full retail package. This toothbrush will last a couple of weeks and crap out when the battery dies... Unless someone knows how to hack into it...

Anyways, not a great deal for a disposable toothbrush.

PS: I think Target sells these for about the same price. These come with $10-$20 off the actual Sonicare kit which costs $70-100+ bucks.

It is free with free shipping, it normally retails for $20ish, and yes it's just a tester so only last you a month or so (unless you can 'hack' it otherwise). The regular version sells in the $60 to $100 range.

What a weird site.

I registered and started from the front page and i still didn't have a "click here" to order.

They had 'click here' to learn more, 'click here' to buy a full size, 'click here' to feel a tickle... but no 'click here' to order.

And everytime I came back to that page the numbers went down faster and faster. I feel like I've been scamed.

Have you ever used this site before Yo_Ma-Ma? Does it work?

Cause I'm really about to buy one of them Sonic brushes, and the try out would be great.

Yes, once you register it's a very easy site to order from, though they limit you to one sample/24 hours. I have rec'd every sample I've ever selected from them, but it's usually something small like 2oz snack chips, gum, shout pre-wash stain treatment etc. If that picture of the sonicare is accurate it looks like it comes with a $10 off coupon for the full-size, which they have on sale right now at drugstore.com.

- It's actually $14.95 plus $4.95 shipping. Why do you think that means free? What a lame site, they have about 5 'samples' listed - most of which are just links to the manufacturers homepages AND you have to pay for. Pay for a sample? That sounds like a bit of a rip off!

I bought 3 retail sonicare (/w 3 extra brush per box) for $25+shipping Each straight from sonicare. There was a form that needed to be filled out along with the order.
I prefer sonicare over any other brand since its got more power, but if you have sensitive teeth/gum, try Braun 3D.
For those who don't floss, this toothbrush is highly recommended.

I guess it's just your lucky day, I've never had to pay for a sample from them

Just a bit of Info for folks who are new to Startsampling.com and are going crazy trying to figure out why they cannot "order" the sample item(s)they want while others can, it is because startsampling targets their market by teh area you live as well as you own individual profile. So, in other words, if you see a post that the item is available for that poster in the west coast, it may not necessarily be available to at that time if you are located in the east.

Just thought I'd pass that on so some of you don't think that you are losing you mind or think the OP is losing theirs in the future.

Good luck to all. BTW, this is a HOT item since it retails about $20-30 at the stores (even though it is just a demo that lasts about 30 days, they do offer a coupon to offset the price you paid for the demo if you purchase the full version, which retails around $69.99 to $99.99).

Serzone, although I am pretty new here, I was wanted to clarify, in Yo_Ma-Ma's defense, he did point it to the RIGHT site. Startsampling allows for manufacturers to link their site so you can read more on their product(s). Sonicare's site does allow for ANY one to purchase directly from them the trial sample BUT Startsampling DOES give out FREE (NO CHARGE AT ALL) samples to people which fits a certain profile each day in batches (usually 2 batches per day) but they sometimes amke these available at different times to folks (who fit their client's targeted profile) in diffrent regions of the country.

In short, when the OP posted his orignal post, the sample was available to HIM/HER but may not be available to you due to your individual profile or your geographical location. While it was not made available to you as a FREE sample from Startsampling, you still had available to your to find out more about the product and order should you wish.

Therefore this is not an error by the OP. Unfortunately, you either do not qualify or you got to the site too late for the quantity available. Hope this helps set things straight. Good luck to all though.

Sonicare is the best toothbrush I've ever used, especially for kids. Also the most expensive, even on E...Bay where it had the best prices for brand new sealed units. Two things when buying one, know your models, and buy extra heads to save shipping.

RE Startsampling.com
I am now registered, but it isn't clear how you select a sample. Does it just "happen" without notice when you select the underlined text of a green dot item? (its sounds that way in the description, ie you will be receiving yada yada)

It would only say click here to order if it was one of teh ones that was under "Samples for You," i was already registered but since it was under "Samples for some of our other members," i didnt get it. i guess its random which ones it lets you choose from.

I think I get it.

Maybe the regional stuff is true, but most likely they base their offers on you other qualifications. Like income for example. Or age.

I usually lie like a dog and make myself very unatractive (hehe) so that I don't go into their lists of junk mail victims.

I guess this time it backfired.

I'll go back and try to change my profile a bit and see if I have better luck.

I'm betting this just pure class discrimination.

WW

PS. thanks for the link to Sonicare. I didn't see any limits over there

How is it that this only works for one month? I'm sure there's a way to get around their "60 uses" only.

Heh, actually I meant "I guess it's just not your lucky day"!

In any case, thanks to the folks who posted more information about how startsamping works. I knew it did have a regional factor for some products, but didn't realize it offered to sell samples to people who didn't fall into the 'correct' regions/qualifications.
