Startup menu keeps coming up.

This lady at my work says that whenever she starts up her windows 98 computer at home the startup menu always comes up and she has to choose normal. It does not run scandisk just goes to the menu. She says that her computer shuts down fine. Any of you have an idea. Let me know what other kind of information you may need and I will find out.

Boot Menu....not the start menu.

Change BootMenu=1 in msdos.sys to BootMenu=0

In msdos.sys, under the [Options], change AutoScan=1 to AutoScan=0
