I played the demo a bit. I don't suck at it, which is unusual for a new shooter. The game is utterly beautiful at 4k and I enjoyed the gameplay, but I'm not convinced I'll buy it at launch (I can't remember the last time I paid full retail for a game - just not that into them now).

Got it working here as well after screwing with video drivers. Meh. Not too impressed. A lot of run and gun. Teamwork is difficult given the lack of squads. This also shows how much I hate the leveling/unlocking system. Even in a beta when people are flying around with jetpacks and I'm a lowly foot soldier.

I've long gotten over the playing with random people and getting wrecked so I have zero interest in multiplayer. Not being able to selectively play with a group of friends is a massive fail too, the death of split-screen is bad enough. The whole fun of the original games was sitting around with your friends fighting a hoard of enemies in conquest and doing stupid stuff.

Survival is nothing new and has the potential to be fun (I found the survival type missions in Splinter Cell Blacklist to be very fun) but with the only difficulty setting being easy it's boring. I would have much rather seen the "supremacy" game mode as that looks like the analog to the beloved conquest mode from the original games.

I hit rank 5 but i still can't put anything in the third card slot. I swear I've seen people with all three card slots filled up. How do you unlock it or equip items to it?

Odd, my third card slot works just like the other two. Now that you mention it, on my death screen I have seen ranked 5 people with only two cards equipped. I thought maybe they just forgot to fill the other slot, but perhaps it's a bug.

I've played the beta on ps4. I dunno, kind of feels like battlefield so I like it in that sense. But the only two game modes we got seem the same.

A pretty resounding "meh" from me tbh. Not $60 worthy I don't think, but might grab it on sale sometime. Too many other games that are coming out around the same time that I'd rather play.

Yea that's what I got from it. If my friends get it on console I might too. But full price I don't know. Seems like the objectives were the same in both game modes. Battlefield at least had almost any vehicle that you could get into.

Its not infected with consolitis as much as I expected but agreed its not a proper PC set up.

No issues of any sort with my system and the game outside of server lag.Sometimes it was perfect then other times i would rubberband mid-air while using my jet pack.Latest drivers all around for my system resulted in no issues with fps or any glitching.

Miles more smoother then BF4 on release,no god forsaken web browser too.:awe: Gameplay wise it got boring fast enough i took a day break but back to playing it today.

I will say that I feel rewarded for venturing off the beaten paths in this game. I flank and even as a lone wolf I can really undermine the opposing side. I can see how this style works against people who love squads/clans/etc., but for me, so far, it's fun. I'm curious to see if I feel the same way tomorrow though... this could get old before I've even bought it.

Works fine at default settings on my 2GB 960. The game is very consolified though, glad I didnt preorder it. Very linear gameplay, feels liked a kiddie version of BF4. I bet it'll sell like crazy but I'm skipping this one as I could feel myself getting dumber playing this.

Thats the biggest problem with the game, no Battlelog. Hell, not even an in-game server browser, just lame ass matchmaking! :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Yup, love to sneak behind enemy lines and pick them off far away from the rear. After awhile they go chase you.. backwards and fail the objective.

Also getting into the AT-AT is beast mode, with its artillery barrage and two firing modes.

I'm starting to see great pilots, they really pwn hard like in any BF game when there's a good pilot.

Something like from BC2 would be a nice addition,but nothing at all does suck.I was recently in a f2p fps beta called First Assault and that had a in-game browser for each region in the U.S.A and Europe among other options of course.

No browser is pretty bad,it has that TitanFall kind of feel where its just awesome at first then it just gets boring just as fast.

Agree, this game has TitanFail written all over it.

The fun of it wears thin really fast.

There's some hidden values the author even states it. The spread increases on subsequent shot. I know for a fact in aimed/scope mode, it spreads much less than hip firing on auto.

I like it and I hope they will have a 64 map/game mode.

The AT Map feels just right with 40.

It has recoil and SIPS. Check out the ADS and HIP blocks though. That's mobile game level of depth there.

Played for about 5 minutes last night and couldn't stand it. Not fun, very limited maps, 91 GB? download for that? Seriously?

Major game fail. It's not even fun..

Titanfall was fun. This game, not so much.

EDIT. Agreeing with BlitzPuppet, its beautiful and I didn't have to do anything special to run the game, it just felt blah and uninspired..

played it yesterday, and as expected it felt mediocre at best.

The game looked beautiful and all, but it felt like just another deathmatch style battlefield with nothing special to add except different weapon types all together and new skins.

Why can't they just remake/copy 1942: Galactic Battlegrounds to the T?

That Star Wars mod for BF1942 was pretty damn fun, but my time was taken up by Desert Combat.

No single player, just those single player missions (you have to be online to play).

seems like a bunch of stuff stripped out for the beta, or they are really going to consolitis it.

also saw a story about them extending the beta, thought that was good given the ridiculously short beta time frame, then read the story and it is for a big whopping one day.
