I got to tell ya. I am handicapped fromaccident . My daughter Had son 2 years ago 2 months. I am home alone all day by self . Haven't much use for friends (users)
So I asked if she would trust me with her child. After much debate I got the go ahead . It was really a struggle as It caused me serious discomfort. But as my love for child grew I didn't notice pain so much . So it got easier. Since I had him from start he recognized Gramps had problems. He is 2 years 2 months now. I was suppose to give him up for preschool at 3 . NOw were having problems . I want to teach him .
I mean all the way . I started to discuss with daughter she really went off on me . I said I would just like to teach for as long as I can .
Now my wife and her family has jumped in . There all women. The only ones on earth like them . My wife agrees with me and so does everone who gets to know my grandson . Everyone is completely shocked by this child . The 3, 4 and 5 year olds look on in awl .
Everone after just 1 hour around this child says the same thing . They never seen a smarter well behaved child ever. When I first started with him . Wife come home ready to jump in . One day she was watching me and him on floor . She says hay, I go what . She says who are you. I said what do ya mean. She says your not same person . You never treated your own children like that . I said I am 35 years older. Taken some hard hits.
She said How long you want him . I said all the way. He can do 911 and ask for help so everthing is cool
So wife and sisters and my daughter were having it out about my wishes . My wife and 2 of sisters said to her . Have you ever watched your dad with him she says ya, Wife says no I don't think you have . His eyes never leave him . If were having a conversation . and child wants or says something your Dad is only one listening .
You ever stop to listen to those 2 talk . She says Ya baby talks fine . Wife says again . She said thats not the question do you listen to what they talk about . She says no . Wife says You really should listen . Your Dad talks to him like an adult , YOU do he knows words and their meanings I don't know . She says I hear him say things . Wife says listen better .
Bottom line is Wife and sisters all said your dad is the best day care any of us has every seen . Than she said Next year you want to put him in pre school . Mind telling us what for . He will be way ahead of those kids he is already. Daughter said well he needs to be around other kids . Boy now I had 7 women chattering at same time . THey all said ya thats what we thought to . But not real sure thats right . He plays really good with other kids even tho he is the alpha . He doesn't do anything aggressive. You watch him and than others same age within year 2-3 . So for now no preschool . I tell ya I cried like a baby . That Wife and sisters said things they were saying about us 2 guys. But the proudest biggest moment of my life is when Wife said . I took really good care of you and your brother you were smart for your ages . you were advanced , But she said I never took care of you to like your Dad has your son. She says why does he get bumps and dings when you or I take care of him . Yet not 1 scratch in 2 years with your Dad . Look at him Dar. Thats a 2 year old . Show me another one like him . There isn't one Dar . I doubt any child has ever been raised like this.
In the last 2 years I have learned more about life than all the years combined befor that . They think I have taught this child . Its not true . He taught me. Once I seen everthing was differant.
If you or your wife can do the job . The way I have. DO it dedicate yourself to that child totally . See who profits the most. You end up with wonderful child . But it will be you who has learned , Child is simply remembering . You have to bring it out . Itsalways better for mom or dad to take care if not possiable I feel bad for ya . Thought of turning my grandchild care to someone earning aliving caring notmy cupof tea.
