Title says it all! We'll be staying in Teton Village for a week and I'm wondering if anyone has some tips on places I can't miss.

My most important goal is to get some great landscape shots. I'll be bringing a large amount of camera equipment, and I'll be willing to hike around to get the best shots.

I'll also probably attempt to visit Yellowstone for at least a day (maybe 2 or 3 if I think it's worth it).

If Yellowstone is worth it? Are you kidding? There is a reason it's the original and still the best National Park.

OK, so do you think spending more time in Yellowstone than Grand Teton is best?

Well....
Everyone I have never known who has visited Jackson has gone for the skiing or the river rafting. I have feeling you aren't going to do either.

I went camping in Grand Teton, and it's nice enough (good fishing, rafting, hiking etc). But if you're limited to 2-3 days I would definitely spend it in Yellowstone. The only issue would be driving up there from Teton Village every day which would cut into your time a bit.

When is this happening?

I doubt the rafting is much fun this time of year in Jackson. (we used to live 90 miles south of there)
Fishing MAY be ok in the Snake river,(depending on temps and ice...and I DO NOT remember the fishing season...may be closed yet) The local streams are chock full of cutthroat trout. Definitely a fun way to spend the day.
Yellowstone is definitely worth a couple of days, but again, it really depends on WHEN you're going to be there. This time of year, it's cold and snowy. (but the geysers still do their thing, the thermal pools and such still do their thing, the wildlife still moves around from point to point.)

The Grand Tetons are fabulous all year, BUT, they'll be cold and snowy probably into May.

Havn't spent any time in Jackson since 86, (we were there overnight in 2005...my, how it's grown!) but don't forget the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and the downtown Jackson city park with the antler-arch entrances. Always good for a photo or two.

I'll be there the last week of May. Does that change things?

I was up there in mid to late June a few summers ago and it was still cold with some snow still on the ground

Oh hell yes. The spring thaw is underway in the high country by then. Wildflower should be blooming everywhere, depending on the river levels, fishing may be anywhere from "not worth a shit" to "Fan-fucking-Tastic"...Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons should be gorgeous. Make the drive up to Hoback Junction...it's beautiful up on the mountains.

Too bad you're not gonna be there mid-July.
The Green River Rendezvous is happening in Pinedale. (about 50 miles south of Jackson)
