Steal for Palm users, a keyboard for 19.99 OD

My local OD sold the last five this morning. They told me that they will honor the misprice until friday , that is if they got anymore during the week. BTW the keyboard is for III series.

I looked at the OD webpage, but couldn't find the palm keyboard anywhere. Anyone have the SKU or know how one would get one of these sweet things for around $20 rather than around $100? Anyone have a scanned copy of the sunday article or know of where it could be found online? Thanks in advance for any/all help.

i already told you the sku look at the top of my first post. it is for a keyboard. thats it. Now, to see if its out of stock call 1800godepot, ask for availability in your area....dont tell them you want it for 19.99 they will tell you wich store has what. database updated nightly. so go to the store in the morning, when they tell you out of stock simply say they are lying. tell them that you (if you did) checked their store's inventory as of last nite and since you got there in the morning when they opened its highly unlikely that they sold all x quantity in that amt of time

i called the corporate number

1-800-937-3600

and pressed 2 for sales. The SKU is 572-501. It is for ONLY the Palm III series, Palm VII series, or the Palm M100 series. It is NOT for the Palm V series. If you get one for the Palm V series, it is a different one. I believe this is the keyboard in question. Check here.

Here is the link to the keyboard at the OD website. Notice that the manufacturer # is the same at OD and Palm. The keyboard will not work with the Palm V series.

Will not work. All call centers ( I get the impression they are split into groups with different managers ) and customer service will not honor it no matter what you say.

They offer you ' sorry '. That's it.


Depending on who you talk to.. and I spoke with Customer service: store issue.

Call center 1 - Cannot do.
Call center 2 - Manager said its been posted to all call centers and stores. No more acceptance. But give people an apology.

Oh well..

i said call the call centers to find out the inventory in the stores. The individual stores will still honor the price if you push them. The call centers wont bc that means that they would be loosing even more money, my understanding is that the stores will honor it for stock on hand and that they wont be placing more into their individual store's inventory untill next week so once the store is out they wont get more to sell until next week.

As to what you said alchemy... all stores have been notified NOT to allow the price to go out per their Monday night notification. That's what I've been told.

I went to the OD in Torrance (near Crenshaw/Lomita) and they honored the ad, but they limited it to one per person.

Thanks for the great post!! Please keep posting hot deals. Smart people will benefit from it one way or the other. You have to be creative. You can't blame others that you don't get in a hot deal.

I just got one this morning. Although it's hussle, for $19.99 it's well worth it.
