If this is like any previous Steam sale, chances are they are still getting things up and running. Just be patient. It seems like these always start a little rough.

That was my reaction as well. Granted, partly that's fueled by a fair number of the things on my wishlist being things I'm not really that interested in, but might buy if they got ridiculously cheap. Which they aren't, right now.

Ugh, so they went with the "new and improved" style sale. At least they attached the cards to browsing your queue so there is half a reason to actually look at it. They don't even have You Need a Budget on sale and that is one of the staples of the steam sale.

I would like to say I will pass but I'm sure if I spend enough time going through this stupid queue I will find something. My wallet no longer fears Steam sales.

I waited for FC3 to hit that price. If I have to wait another year, I wait another year. But it's not like it's still a hot game these days.

I also like how it's the sale that sucks because a person's library is too big or they're not being bombarded enough to buy stuff. How sad that is.

Also, for those who enjoy bashing zombies in creative and bloody ways, Dying Light is a good bargain at 66% off.
It is not worth the full price.

I think you do get card(s) for spending a certain amount when buying game(s) during a sale. For F2P games that have cards, they are usually earned by spending a certain amount during in-game purchases.

What are cards for? Like you said, once you have a enough for a set you can craft to level up your profile. Otherwise you can sell them on the market. Majority don't go for much, 0.05-0.12 is your typical price for each card. Rarer cards (foil) can cost in the dollars.

Are they important? Up to the individual to decide but for most it's not.
