Steam Christmas Sale 2015

Like I said earlier, publishers are still able to to discount their stuff more heavily for a portion of the sale. And when they do, they'll get a front page feature.

It happened during the last one, it will happen during this one. But it's the stuff you'd expect, AAA series, big name games, etc.

This is the third time this has been said. By me, because people don't seem to get it.

We get it. It didn't happen last sale. It most likely won't happen this sale. I watched it closely. There are only like 2 titles who's prices changed, and they changed from no discount to having a discount for the remainder of the sale. (and a 3rd who went from 10% to 33%)

Which games had the discount changed?

I didn't notice any discount change during the previous Steam Sale (Autumn Sale November/December 2015).

People don't seem to get it, based on the posts.

This sale is running longer, and FC4 isn't discounted at all. It will happen. That's the only game off-hand that I know of. I imagine AC and a lot of other Ubi (maybe Squeenix as well) stuff will also see a bigger discount at some point.

I never said it would happen on a massive scale, but those games that do get extra discounts will be featured.

In addition to grabbing Rocket league and 4 dlcs from greenman gaming I picked up Killing Floor 2 and Aliens vs Predator w/2 dlcs from Steam. I'm done for this sale and have spent too much :\

Only 6 out of the 12 games in my queue were even a part of the sale. Not a big fan of the queue. Much faster if they listed them instead of having to flip through each store page.

It depends. There are three types of tiers:

1. Anything - With this tier, you can pay anything to get the items listed, but you must pay $1 or more to get keys for Steam. This is because people were abusing the system by paying $.01 and reselling the Steam keys. If games are only available for Steam, then you must pay at least $1. These games are listed with no padlock next to their name.
2. Beat the Average - With this tier, you must pay at least $.01 more than the average of all payments. This amount will be listed above the section of items in green text. All items in this tier have a green padlock beside the name
3. Specific Amount - With this tier, you must pay a specific amount that has been preset by Humble Bundle. This is also the only tier that sometimes has multiple versions of the tier (e.g. $10, $20, $40). All items in this tier have a blue padlock beside the name and usually a border.

Also, one important note is that if you buy the bundle and items are later added to the bundle at a tier that you purchased, you automatically get them. If you decide you want to upgrade from Beat the Average to a Specific Amount, you can go to your bundle page and pay the difference to get upgraded.

Its actually slightly cheaper on uplay at $20 vs 24.99 on origin, plus you would probably have to activate it in uplay anyway.

It is a Steam key. I picked up a little while ago and had no issues.

Humble Bundle offers bundles of games greatly discounted, with a small percent for charity.

It also has a store for buying individual games, a monthly package you buy in advance not knowing what's in it, but it's best known for the bundles.

Typically it has a group for $1, an additional group for a higher price, and so on.

They usually add a few games included with the mid tier after a week, at no extra cost.

Trading these cards is a pita as you have to have steam guard and the mobile authenticator enabled or they place a delay on the trade and most people don't accept them then.

Last time I traded was during the monster event I believe and they didn't have the mobile delay like that so turning it on now means you have to wait 7 days before the delay is removed.

I wonder how many will get screwed since they remove these cards at the end of the event and are unable to trade / sell them away in time.

Wouldn't be as much as a pita compared to a scammer setting up an account without this authentication and spamming a legit account, IMO. Not sure what your reasoning is to not have steam guard, or multiple verification, but I actually like it, since I have a serious investment in my steam account.
