Its as expensive as a 6 inch sub so I think for that price Orcs Must Die is a pretty damn good deal. I had fun with the demo.

Really surprised to see Orcs Must Die on sale today....it was just on sale during the Autumn Sale. I played the demo and my wrist hurt after about 3 minutes of playing. That's a lot of clicking.

You might find it more effective to take careful head shots than to just spam auto fire over and over....

There must be some software out there though that allows you to auto fire with the mouse.

Been waiting to get this one. I decided to skip it when it was $7.50 a couple months ago, which I understand was still a good deal. For $5? Why the hell not. This is the first daily deal I've actually purchased since the wishlist give-away started; everything else has either been uninteresting (Dungeon Siege 3, RUSE) or games I already own (Terraria, Borderlands, Orcs Must Die).

Looking forward to it.

Because I loved Defense Grid so much, I'd thought I'd mention it's $5 today.

Basically it's kind of like Zelda in a Borderlands/Fallout3 sort of world. There's like...10 different weapons? I don't remember, that you can mix and match together and upgrade as you please, so lots of different playstyles possible. Starts off pretty easy but you can use "Idols" you unlock in the game to really ramp up the difficulty. Great art, great animation, amazing music, amazing narrator, wonderfully written and storytold.

I haven't played it yet, but it supposedly an absolutely fantastic indie game. People say it's quality is right up there with games like Braid and Limbo if that means anything. In fact some people have gone as far as to call it GOTY.

I just read the gameplay and it sounds interesting with the type of weapons you choose you get a challenge courses to test those weapons.

I bought this because it seemed interesting, but every time I start it I get a black screen with music playing in the background and I have to Alt+Tab out of it.

Could this be xfire related? I hope this doesn't turn into another one of those games I can't play because I have a dual GPU card.

But Bastion and Dungeon Defenders and Orcs Must Die and Game XYZ is also making money off of me because they agree to offer their games at a price point that gets me to pay them.

Steam has certainly changed how I buy games; where I used to purchase 5-6 full-priced titles a year, that's down to 2-3. But those 3 full priced games I'm *not* buying turns into 20 or 30 additional "sale" games ... some that are perhaps more enjoyable then their full priced brethren.

Exactly, in the same boat here. For the price of a brand new game I can pick up 10 slightly older games or less known games that will occupy my time for a long long while.

Another argument why PC gaming is a far better option than console gaming... STEAM!!
