These are all classics. Fallout Tactics has less story and RPG elements, but there is still a good story with improved tactical combat. it's closer to an Icewind Dale game where your party members don't have any personality.

Don't forget that the Star Wars games are in the weekend sale - if you like RPGs and don't already have KOTOR 1 and 2 you can get them for $3.xx each.

Maybe I should give Tactics a try. I played the demo off of a PC Gamer demo disc and moved on after ten minutes or so. A few years later I did end up playing F1 and F2 and really enjoying them.

Perhaps the added lore would make for a better experience (even though it's been a long time since F1and F2).

ahh, hell, I should probably stick to my original plan and spend my weekly steam money completing my Star Wars collection.

Spec Ops is a generic military shooter that's actually not so generic. Game seems average at first, but then completely surprises you with it's story. I won't spoil it any further. Definitely worth $7.

I agree with this. Gameplay wise it is rather bland, but the story really does make up for it.

I had no problems really with the controls. It was just that it has bland gameplay, generic third person shooter wise. The environments are great and the story is the best part of the game.

I really liked it and played with a Xbox controller. Definately worth $5 in my opinion.

From Dust is a neat puzzle/"idea" game. Some of the levels get a little lengthy imo but still enjoyable.

one of the better MOM clones.. (though i think i prefer WARLOCK, not as deep, but much faster gameplay) good game for $10..

man you look at his list (all the dead deals).. it is good to be a PC gamer with STEAM right now.. to good..

Just played Warlock for a bit, and am playing Fallen Enchantress now.

Both are decent but I much prefer Fallen Enchantress due to the complexity & tactical battles.

tempted by fallen enchantress..not huge on the 4x RTS games though. i heard the standalone expansion was supposed to correct some of the game's shortcomings.

I like the game quite a bit. While it isn't a RTS, it is a 4X game. Kind of a cross between Civilization and Heroes of Might and Magic. It is fun because you create your own units rather than use pre-designed units.

I didn't like the game that much, and I usually love 4X games, and anything having to do with fantasy.

It's kind of like Civ, but you can only build in certain spots, and it's like playing Marathon speed (building takes forever).

It's kind of like HoMM, but the combat is strategically very weak. Positioning so you don't get hit first is the meat of the strategy... no flanking, and no penalties for walking by (mobs just walk around you and hit weak troops).

I usually don't crap on graphics, since I'm happy playing the original X-Wing or Alpha Centauri, but the game is pretty darn ugly and boring looking also. Wish they went with an Age of Wonders look (btw, AoW2 looks better than this game).
