Haven't played Bioshock yet, so I went ahead and got that. I'll probably get Crayon Physics and World of Goo too.

Purchases to date and thoughts:

Tropico 3 - Great city simulation game, easily worth $20 if you're into this genre.

Universe at War - Decent enough RTS for just $5.

Mirror's Edge - I only spent $5 but have realized through playing it I would have spent more. I just hope they make combat better/more interesting in the sequel.

Stalker: SoC - Couldn't pass this up for $2 based on lots of suggestions to get it. But I haven't played this much so no judgement yet.

The Void - Wow. If you haven't bought this yet, you should. Old school adventure style game (as in, you start the game with n knowledge and have to learn everything - or look it up) with some interesting visuals. The entire concept is very original and worth the $10 I spent. There's a reason this game was originally called Tension when it was released - everything including time itself is working to defeat you. Do not expect your typical hand-holding game.

Total spent = $26.97

Darn, I would have sent you a free trial pass but unfortunately I gave them away to random people last week. Perhaps some kind soul on here who has the game can.

Have you played Left 4 Dead? If so, it's not really like it. It's a lot slower paced, and you don't have various objectives in each map. You spawn with a team up to 6 players and there are 10 different rounds where an increasing number of monsters spawn (and different kinds of them).

After each round you get a 1 minute break to run to the nearest weapon shop and replenish or buy new weapons. There are like (6?) classes in the game which specialize in different weapons. You can level up the class by completing it's specific requirements (i.e. do 2000 damage with a particular gun). The leveled up class stays with you from server to server.

There are lots of custom maps available for the game now and the steam sale has made the community even bigger.

Is it worth it? Well the slower pace may turn off some, but the developers are constantly updating the game which is nice. All in all, if it's still on sale I say it's not a waste -- the game is definitely fun.

Yeah, if you don't own Killing Floor buy the game.

They had a free beta when it first released a while back I played it and bought the game full price that day. It is great fun.

The updates are super awesome too.

No vs. if that is what you are looking for . Just you and your team vs hundreds of zombies. The game does a great job of making you feel swarmed and damn near helpless sometimes.

Fuck. Too late. They raised the price to $10. My main worry is how many people play the game. I don't know if it's really popular or not.

Well right now i see 158 servers with around 1700 players online playing in them. Not bad for a game with little marketing. Don't worry, you won't have a problem finding a game to jump into right away.

Cogs is nice for casual gaming
and a light brain workout. It's a clever take on the old sliding tiles puzzle. If your wife likes puzzle-type games then the odds are good with this one.

Is Silent Hill Homecoming any good?
I heard it had a lot of bugs but I have had no issues with it so far. this is my first Silent Hill game and I like it so unless something goes wrong later then its 10 bucks well spent.

Yes, I believe it scales down the amount of monsters that spawn each round. However, the difficulty stays the same (there are 4 or 5 modes of difficulty that you can choose).

You can even play it offline by yourself, and still rank up your class if for some reason you cannot connect to a server.

Frig, good sales today boys.

Max Payne: $2.50
Max Payne 2: $2.50
Fifa Manager 10: $33.50
Civ 4 Colonization: $10.19
Osmos: $1.99
Civ 4 Beyond the Sword: $6.79
Civ 4: $6.79
Left 4 Dead: $7.49

I think I'll end up with L4D and Osmos today maybe Max Payne.

Edit: And if you want both Paynes the price is $3.74, also the L4D 4 pack is $22.50. Civ 4 complete edition for $13.59. Insane.

I see that...I have L4D2 on 360, but is it worth getting L4D on PC?

Sure, for $7.50. That's worth it just for the ability to use a mouse/keyboard, let alone play with really high-quality graphics (assuming you have a decent PC).

It is worth it for 10. It released at 20 dollar and hasn't taken a price drop at all. So 10 is still a great price.

There are loads and loads of active servers, I never have trouble finding one.

The game is very re-playable too, as you level up, you can afford better weapons, and then start playing on hard mode or on suicide mode. The hardest mode is insanely hard, and super fun and scary.
