Steam Holiday Sale???

Same here, dozens have been played less than three times but occasionally you'll get that gem that you wouldn't have tried otherwise. Plants vs. Zombies for instance, played the heck out of it. That will benefit them in the long run as well, you can bet I'll have PvZ2 preordered at full price if it ever comes around.

I pretty much have all the older games I want so only two games I'm looking to buy on sale is Skyrim and Stronghold 3. I seriously doubt there will be one for Skyrim but you never know. Better chance for a Stronghold 3 sale I'm thinking.

Does anyone else have the feeling that the Holiday Sale won't be as awesome as previous years due to this Daily Deal going on now?

Said another way, I keep wondering if the Daily Deal is really the Holiday Sale and the Holiday Sale will just be recaps of the Daily Deal and/or Developer bundles (i.e. the UbiSoft Bundle containing every Splinter Cell game for $20, etc.).

I don't think I'd like that. But hey there is no law that says Steam has to keep having holiday sales the same way.......

That's a real possibility. Though I think Valve will make an effort to offer some compelling deals simply because too many people anticipate the Christmas sale. There will probably be an ARG as well.

its not as awesome because they always have the same stuff on sale and everyone already has it all. There are things that I won't buy at their current price but they either never go on sale or not enough to make me jump at it.

it's $50 normally, no way it will go down to $10. you might get lucky to get half price. More likely it will be up to 30% at most.

Nope, it runs for like 2 weeks. One of the devs tweeted that their game would be on sale during the holiday sale from the 19th to the 2nd I think it was. Last year it started on the 20th and lasted till the 2nd

That is good news. I thought the sale started the day after christmas, and went through Jan. 2.

I will be on a camping trip December 26, 27 and coming home on the 28. I was kinda bummed out because I was going to miss the first 2 days of the sale. After talking to my wife, she agreed to log into my steam account and buy the games I was watching if they went on sale while I was gone.

But now, I get to see the first few days of the sale and go from there.

Most likely it'd be 25% off during the duration of the sale, and more if it is listed on the daily sale.

Having said that, the PC version of this game is like a delicious chocolate cake core that is Batman:AC layered w/ shit frosting that is SecuROM and GFWL. I'd stay the hell away and get the console version.

It might feel less impactfull because of the daily deals, but hard to say until we see it.

To echo what KaOTiK said, the Steam holiday sale starts the week of the 24th. So, this year it will start on the 19th.

every sale is getting worse for me. I have over 350 games already so there's less choice!
