Close to the price it should have been when released. It's fun but just like the first one, still not enough content to keep the game fresh after a couple of weeks.

I'm not a big fan of the L4D games. I picked up L4D2 at gamestop for $2 and change with their after christmas sale and I still feel kinda underwhelmed. G

Game was on sale for $30, they were having a promo where you trade in a game from a list and it took $20 off whatever you bought, well it was the first day of the promo and the guy behind the counter was like corporate told us some things wouldn't be working right away, so he gave me the $20 trade credit and the trade in value on top of it for the game which he wasn't suppose to do. So with the sale/promo/credit I ended up paying $2 something, game I traded in was Street Fighter 4 cause I want to get SSF4 when it comes out.

Sorry to hear it, love the game, one of the few games that "REQUIRES" teamwork. It is a bad game when you get a44hats on your team (happens far to much). Or in VS mode you get rage quiters..
I'm oldschool FPS online gamer (doom on up) and had pretty much lost interest in um after BF42 was bastardized into the modern combat games. L4D was the one that brought me back to the fold... playing it and L4D2 and TFC alot (ok, more then alot).

I would recomend L4D2 to anybody who likes TEAM (you wont alwaya have the most kills, you work as a team, end result is the important part)online FPS games..

Played a few with some buddies. Freezer Burn was pretty fun. So was 2 Evil Eyes.

Also The Passing comes out this Month.

I tend to play with a select group of buddies. It's fun. $24.99 is cheap. If you like co-op games, get it.

Steam makes it pretty easy to make new friends to play the game with. Half the friends I play with are ones I met while playing.

It would have been nice if it would have been released as an expansion pack or something similar instead of charging full price for what is essentially an updated version of the original with a new story. LFD2 runs on the Mac under Crossover, so does Steam, requires a little knowledge to get working correctly. But I play LFD2 on my Mac and love it, plays as well as it does on my PC in fact.

Multiplayer!

That & playing with friends is key.

Single player campaign is NOT fun.

that's probably not going to be true

end of March was a time frame thrown out at one point, but I'm pretty sure they've officially fudged that claim into a "spring" release (which means they can push back a release as late as May or even June)

if it really was going to be coming out at the end of march they likely would have given us a countdown already.

Keep in mind that L4D1 and L4D2 were basically released on the same day a year apart, and L4D1 didn't see its first major DLC until April 21...of which the first DLC for L4D2 is arguably going to be bigger/better than the two DLCs for L4D1 combined.

Have you ever played versus mode? It's really fun, whether you play with friends or random pugs, and you don't have to be uber l33t to enjoy it.


Also, even though I haven't tried them all, there are new modes. Survival was added as DLC to the first L4D1. Its a mode where endless zombies attack you until you die, the test is how long your group lasts for. This can be pretty frustrating when playing with pugs D:


Again, this really is not a single player experience game, because it's going to be exactly that, kill room of zombies, advance. It's about having coordination and helping our buddies from the special zombies and working together to kill them.

I can't say I've ever played a co-op game that has required actual cooperation as much as this.
