Titan Quest Gold = Titan Quest + Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Normally a package deal together for $19.99, on sale on Steam for $4.99 today.

If you haven't seen or played it before, it's sort of like Diablo 2. The graphics are better, the game play is decent, and there's plenty of gear to go around and character builds to choose from. It has a single player mode, multiplayer, and multiplayer LAN. From what I've seen multiplayer doesn't appear to be very popular, but single player is DEFINITELY worth $5, and then some.

On a LAN with your friends is the ONLY way to play these type of games. Played Sacred, Sacred 2, Dungeon Siege, and Titan Quest co-op on a LAN and had a great time with all of them.

I played the snot out of Diablo II (my favorite game of all time), not sure how this will work. Is there any sort of online lobby where you can find fellow Titan Quest players or do I need to know them personally? (pardon my ignorance, I've not played many PC games since 2005 or so).

might want to look into the fan patch too. no sure if its compatible with the steam version.

I gave up on titan quest after the rubber banding annoyed the hell out of me. its a great game if you can accept that issue.

Also before I bite is the expansion pack really necessary if I want to do some online play? I already have a decent backlog of games to get through.

I had a lot of fun playing this single-player. I played it without any mods.

I got it for $5 during a crazy D2D sale a couple of years ago rather than from Steam, but played it enough that it would have been worth $15-20 to me.

Ive got over 400 games and played maybe 4 of them? No real computer, or internet connection, but I was able to buy this...Im pretty sure Ive already got it on my second account which has another ~200 games. To much hassle to check, and its only 5$. Ive got 29$ in my account and no job or home. I do have an unlimited everything cell phone plan for about 40$ a month after taxes and such. Obviously I make fantastic decisions...Ive got what, two weeks to rob a place to get enough money to pay the cell phone so I can keep posting here (and buying hot deals on video games).

I played the demo on Steam and was not impressed with the game play at all. None of the weapons felt like they had any power to them, and overall it felt like a budget title from 2004.
