Just bought the daily Crysis special myself. Way too good to pass up.

Genius move by Steam really. I'm literally sitting here counting down until the next sale.

Armored Princess is the expansion? I thought it was the core game. Was wondering why I kept getting my ass handed to me.
I have tons of money, but cant seem to keep my armies up. When they get killed off its always a long trek back to the handful of places I know I can replenish them at.
Maybe I should just use small groups of the more powerful monsters, like Dragons, Cyclops and such. If I protect them properly they wont die.

Yeah, it's the standalone expansion.... I am preferring the first one better mainly because it's a bit easier on the startup.

But... heres the kicker... I used to play HoMM3 and 5 on Medium/Hard difficulties and used to be ok. On Armoured Princess on Easy I get my rear end handed to me on a silver platter.

The Forums they have are talking about a "No Losses" game on "Impossible" difficulty. For example, going through the entire game without losing a single unit.(Summoned units do not count as losses and normal monsters, if resurrected in battle, do not count either). My mind boggles.

It is so darned addictive. One more fight, one more quest... one more level!

Side Note: I have purchased Street Fighter IV and when trying to sign into GFWL, I hit the brick wall of "Unable to login as your CD Key is invald". Too early to worry... I'll check the Steam forums in 2010

I noticed one of the major challenges is the limited amount of units you can have, and the fact they dont replenish at the store. If you have plenty of bad rounds you can suck up all your good units and then not have any left to purchase.
I drained almost all the Marksmen in the entire game. They're useful but they get massacred easily. Now I have to use inferior archers like those stupid plants.

Also, I try to get one type of unit to make use of items that enhance one race, like an Axe I got which boosts dwarven attack and speed. The problem is keeping all dwarves in my party and keeping them topped off all the time.

Your computer is made with parts that weren't even invented when Crysis came out. You are in good shape. Buy it.

Indeed.... I have a game on Easy and I have just hit a Dwarven island with some very odd and nasty creatures like Gobots, dinosaur-types and Giants.

I felt awkward trying to fight on with each battle so I took a break.

Early game, I love Royal Thorns. Except when they appear in the Tutorial where they are a little bit mental.

You sound like a guy a know.. I talk to him about the awesome deals on Steam, he talks about how he is loving [insert recent release here] and is considering buying it, but his pirated version keeps crashing so he's not sure.

Has no problem "stealing" a digital copy of a game, but refuses to pay $5 for one unless he gets a hard case, DVD, and 500 page manual.

For those of you who havent yet played or dont think they would like Mass Effect, I highly recommend trying it out now. 5 bucks is actually cheaper than most places will rent a game these days. Even if you hate the gameplay, you can use cheat codes and race through it. The story alone is easily worth 5 bucks.
