There really is no need for any of that. The game sales are the same aside from a few (which probably just haven't been gotten to on dailies/flashes yet). You don't get any extra cards, there are no higher % discounts...basically nothing.

With the new wormhole 10 level skip people have left their current games where they had already hit 100k+ levels and joined together and bought mostly wormholes and are expected to hit over a million levels easy.

Hell the game they just made less then a hour ago has over 300k levels.

I just bought the Macventure collection for $3.59. It has Shadowgate, Deja Vu series and Uninvited Guest. If you ever played the old NES versions which were a bit limited and a pain to control with a gamepad, these were the superior ones. I always wanted to play these back in the day and enjoyed the NES versions despite the limitations.

I also got the new Shadowgate remake and Sinister Stories bundle which is a collection of hidden object games....but believe it or not, a lot of these hidden object games are a lot of fun and very addicting. My wife has been addicted to them for a couple years now and I get in and out of them. They often have good atmosphere, calm soothing music and fun puzzles.

Toping that off, I broke down and got the Controller Companion app, supposedly is easier to use than Xpadder or joy2key.

Snagged Verdun, Talos Principle and the GalCiv Bundle from yesterday. I'll also get Cities: Skyline if it goes on sale again.

I'm starting a new rule, I can have as big a backlog as I can afford, but I only install games I'm currently playing or have completed. Just wiped my library, we'll see what it looks like in a few months.

I missed out on the HW Remastered collection sale last week. While still at 45% off I was hoping to get it for less. My son advised that Steam typically drops prices a second time right before the end of their sales. Any experience with this happening?

For CK2 you don't need any DLC, just the base game will give you more playtime than 99% of the games you probably own. Once you get hooked to the game and have played enough games with the Crusader Kingdoms, you'll want more (in a good way) so then you get the DLCs. Most of the DLCs (the non-cosmetic ones) add different gameplays and/or push the starting year back a couple of hundred years for a different World historical landscape.
As for those comments, nah, the game is nothing at all about incest, inbreeding, etc. It lets you do it, but no the game is not about it at all. It's about forming your dynasty and making the world yours.

Yes. Steam almost always has a recap sale on the last day(s) of the sale (this time it would June 21/22).

So if you missed anything, keep a close eye on those days and you're likely to get a second chance.

No, in fact I just bought Final Fantasy III. The graphics are surprisingly decent for such an old game. I spent some time last night playing it on my 60" TV with Xbox controller and it was pretty fun, though the constant random encounters can become a little annoying.

I kind of wish that I wouldn't have bought After Years on sale at GMG a month or two ago. That combination deal is rather nice since I don't own FFIV either.
