Definitely all RTS fans should play Homeworld Remastered if they have never played it before, its genre defining.
I don't remember it being like the remastered version, with fleets being sized dependant on how big your fleet is. The cryo tray mission REQUIRED me to gimp my forces before starting it, or nearly all of the trays got destroyed before I could hardly do anything. I'm NOT a fan of having to know exactly what the next mission will be, or how many units to throw away so I don't get swamped automatically... Homeworld Remastered was a big dud for me.
Anyone played The Escapists? Any good? Hoping for a decent sale on it.
It's gotten good reviews, I'm hoping for a 75% off on it soon.

Picked up Valkyria Chronicles and have put 12 hours into it so far. For $5 (yesterday's sale), it's a steal. The story is typical JRPG; some people like that stuff, I play for the party building and strategy aspects. It's kind of like XCom, but better imo - you move real time (like a 3rd person shooter), and if you move within the range of an enemy, they will fire upon you as you continue to move; sort of a real time Overwatch (but only certain classes, not snipers for example).
Multiple character positioning bonuses (if X likes Y and is near them when Y fires, then X will fire for free). Pretty deep combat strategy; far deeper than XCom imo. And you get a tank as part of your forces, with multiple firing modes of course.
