Damn, they got rid of the voting for trading cards thing... don't wanna play that Monsters game or whatever that is.

Usually sold them for some store credit.

Sooo...

GTA V for $20. I haven't gotten into the previous GTA games, but people keep saying this one is great. $20 doesn't seem bad for a game that came to the PC and next gen systems so recently.

Where do you see $20? Don't see an option for the game only, only some combos with in-game money cards, all for $60

I'd buy it for $20... but all I see are some lame $60 packages that give you in-game cash. Weak!

It's not working correctly anyway. Typical Steam.

pulled the trigger on the remastered Shadowgate, $3.75 @ 75% off

figured it'll be a good game to play on my POS laptop while this heatwave keeps me trapped inside my bedroom... I'm surprised this isn't a mobile game, though, tbh. it's all just point-and-click, you'd think it would lend itself well to a tablet.

Damn I think they changed it. I got onto the site almost immediately after the sale started. GTA V was showing as 33% off of $29.95. I actually added it to my cart and tried to check out, but steam gave me an error. Must have been a mistake.

Edit: What they're showing now doesn't make any sense either. I see GTA V for 25% off of $79.95. When was it ever $79.95?

Rockstar just pulled the store page for GTA5 standalone, you can only buy it now in a bundle which in my region costs $67.88 which is a whole $2.22 discount.

They say its 30% off but its bullshit, they just raised the price before hand which is illegal, but they get around it by bundling it.

GG scumbag Rockstar.

I can barely even get it up and running. Nothing of interest so far. Then again my backlog is already a bit overgrown.

They're probably changing it and screwing up big time. Accessing the cached page shows it was $29.99 with 33% off = $20.09. No way they'd drop the normal price down that quickly

Seems they took the page down, can't reach it any more nevermind

7 Days to Die and Payday 2 GOTY.

The GTA V sale has my scratching my head too, it released at $69.99 CDN but suddenly now it's listed at $79.99 CDN?

They aren't selling GTA5 without the "shark card" which is driving the price up. Pretty much, you are paying full retail for GTA5 and getting the "shark card" for free. Pretty lame IMO.

Metro Reduxes worth it if I already have the originals? Do they add anything beyond graphical enhancements/using a new engine?

I'm going to pick up Dirt Rally for sure. Currently 25% off, should I wait for it to appear in daily sale or flash sale for possibly an even cheaper price?

weird how the steam news blog says new daily deals get added every 12 hours. Then they proceed to list the actual daily deals and not flash deals. i guess they mean the flash deals though.

The Steam Monster Summer Sale is here! For the next eleven days, take advantage of huge savings throughout our store on thousands of games. Check back every 12 hours to see new Daily Deals. You can even help unlock additional discounts by playing our Monster Summer Game.

These deals are so-so. Looking at the games I wanted and I have seen them all go for cheaper. I thought this was the big sale of the year?

What a joke this sale is, I would probably get GTA V right now if it really was 20-30% off, but at this point it makes me realize that I probably wouldn't play it anyways.

I'm LOL at GTA5. Regular price 85$, on sale 60$?

I guess they are bundling it with other stuff, but its all fluff.

So the game is a stupid cookie clicker game.

That is if it works as you constantly lag out and the actions don't work although as long as you joined but never kept playing it you will get rewarded the same amount as someone who actually plays.

If they won't give GTA V a proper discount, I'm content to wait on pulling the trigger.

I'll end giving Valve less money, but like they care.

Hmm, might grab Valkyria Chronicles for $5.49 with the DLC. Seems like a good deal!

I'm definitely interested in the Metro Redux bundle for $10, but I have to wait for my discounted Steam card to show up tomorrow.

For the past few sales, this has been the norm.
They start off with a fizzle, and end with a overall rating of 'meh'.

I wish Amazon would start their competition again, with them in the game there was some killer deals.

I found WL2 to be rather lackluster, it had potential but ultimately felt rather flat. The weapons/gun selection were poor and very minimal and felt off in action, quests were somewhat decent but also often buggy and problematic. Randomized maps were not very random and get old very quickly, not enough areas to explore overall esp the main map which had very few waypoints / areas.

I would recommend Jagged Alliance 2 over this game all day long. Game came out in 1999 but blows doors off WL2 in every category, mercs have more personality and dialogue, interacting with each other (even to the point of loving on some or hating others), TONS OF WEAPONS including explosives, large maps with interesting areas to explore, tighter plot and overall more enjoyable experience.

I put over 120 hours into WL2 (bought it full price at release because I'm a huge Fallout fan), its one of the few games in recent times where I spent so much time in without feeling tedious.

Also another must have: This War of Mine

Best game I've played in many years.
