I guess a lot of small, "practically nothing" purchases do add up. That's the key to those Free To Play games with the $1 fees work.

You may have gotten something, though. At the very least, those FX2 pinball tables should provide some hours of entertainment. Also, wasn't that Oddworld game a major release at some point?

Thing is, the FX2 tables are mostly ones that sound good almost completing the collection, I think all but one and the soccer tables, most not played yet.

And not sure about Oddworld, I just always liked the game theme, and this completes the collection except one that got bad reviews.

But I think I will get The Crew, and considering Gal Civ III also.

Funny thing, a game I play a ton, Spellweaver, hasn't cost a cent.

I was just going to buy 2 two-packs of the game 7 Days to Die, since I already have it, and wanted to gift it to two friends and my girlfriend (and keep the other copy for trading or whatnot). Apparently steam won't let me give them my money. That option is grayed out since I already own the game.

Any solution to this, short of purchasing the game(s) on friend's accounts?

I get this when looking at a game I already own:

Just add this game to your cart. Then during checkout, choose a friend to receive your gift.

I am not sure about buying yourself another copy as that may be a issue.

Seriously debating between Stellaris and Hearts of Iron IV

Been craving a good 4X space strategy game (I got Distant Worlds, but man, it's in-depth and intimidating scale-wise.)
Hearts of Iron on the other hand I've been with since the series started.

Ugh. Or perhaps just waiting on both until some DLC/expansions come out and are bundled. I hate being practical.

Well I think I made out pretty good, partly because of my backlog and not much really grabbed my interest or not low enough sales.

The Stanley Parable
Injustice: Gods among us --- for $5, not a bad deal even if I only do the story

I recommend waiting on Stellaris. A DLC or two would add some more character/depth to the game.

7 Days to Die is a great game, especially when you turn on debug mode in your offline world, you can warp around the map and experiment some crafting.

And right now I cannot log into Steam, keeps saying unable to connect to servers, are the servers fully overloaded or something?

I had zero half-life or painkiller games. I grabbed the bioshock games and dlc to get the free remastered versions coming out in Sept. The Rocksmith dlc should allow the use of custom free dlcs. I grabbed L4D to complete the collection. Not sure why I bought blood and bacon

Half-Life Complete - $7.24
Painkiller Complete Pack - $6.99
Rocksmith® 2014 - Smashing Pumpkins - “Cherub Rock” - $1.79
Left 4 Dead Bundle, This bundle contains: Left 4 Dead - $2.99
BioShock Triple Pack, BioShock™: $2.71 + BioShock 2: $2.71 = $5.42
Minerva's Den DLC - $2.49
Blood and Bacon - $0.89

Total: $27.81
- $2.01 (Steam Wallet from trading cards)
PayPal: $25.80

I just noticed that PES 2016 isn't on sale, just the one game I even thought about looking up, ah well I still have PES 2015.

I picked up one title this sale: Divine Divinity for $0.89. Consider I sold Steam trading cards worth more than double that...Valve is paying me to play this ancient (but supposedly awesome) Diablo clone. I can live with that.

It's not really a Diablo clone and I think it'll be pretty dated now, but I liked it then. Bought every Divinity game since because of it though haven't played them yet.

the game videos shows beta 0.90 yet the steam discription says Alpha.

lolol... sigh... firms my belief to never purchase alpha or beta games anymore on steam.

Overall I've had pretty good luck. I just stick to $15 or less. I've only had one complete failure and two that weren't what I expected but they were $5 each so no loss.

I played 7DtD when it was first released into Early Access and got burned out pretty early. My friends and I kept a PvP server up for months and it was really fun until people learned how to get under the world and snipe people across the map. Also, sniping people with a crossbow across the map (since collision no longer applied past the FOV) was always amusing.

I've heard it's gone through some major changes since I stopped playing midway last year.

Yeah its different now but there still isn't much end game but there are mods. Totally worth $10 from the sale, even worth $25 but its not a AAA game.

I thought about buying the jrpg pack (tales of z and disgeas) as well as battle brothers but in the end for this sale my only purchase was two cheap civ 5 dlc for a massive 0.47 each.

While I like the Steam interface, and am happy with the games I have bought through the service, it is funny to me that buying video games has become a game unto itself. I have only bought one this year from GOG, and sank roughly 15 hours into it. Just don't have the time to game like I used to when I was younger.

I found three games in my back catalogue I've forgotten I had. Farcry 3, hitman absolution and Max Payne 3. Currently playing total war: warhammer, so no new games until theese are completed. Except Dawn of war III.
